Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Nowt wrong with suggesting him in terms of the post/ brief I replied to.

Brentford manager doing great, and he was previously their set piece coach!
I'm repeating myself but Carsley is a youth coach not a manager. He's 51 and has never managed a top flight team. Undoubtedly he's had plenty of offers as his coaching is excellent so why hasn't he left the comfort of being in the youth set up of England? And when he was England interim head coach he looked very uneasy doing the media stuff and the scrutiny involved. If he was truly ambitious he would of moved heaven and earth to get that England job but he was happier being an interim and filling in until the next coach was appointed. He'd not last 5 minutes under the scrutiny of a big Premier League club trying to get to the next level

The judgement on Keith Andrews will be next season

Judgement on Andrews will be if he goes to another club imo. He is a product of and exists within the Brentford setup. He's doing an incredible job but there's absolutely no telling if it translates to another environment

CL qualification, silverware, made a packet on Isak. And he's an everton fan, right?

On the odd game I watch them they seem to have a go, too.

What drawbacks do you see for Howe...
Also Watford before, think he must have a tendency for Z cars.

Forget the manager part.
You can't change your club support..

I think Carsley comes across as quite a humble fella with a great degree of self-awareness. Maybe he's trying to avoid the trap of the 'Peter principle'?
