Thanks for the detailed explanation.
I'm aware that they have made other cash injections into the club beyond the initial purchase so perhaps as you say it's just moving money between related companies.
That said it does sound a little worrying.

Agreed but better if monies from the "sale" were retained.

I guess we will have to wait for future dealings - transfers and otherwise - to establish their true intentions.

This whole thing is really confusing to me. Because Kinnear speaks about moving away from DoF in a way that makes total sense - it's too much work and too many different areas of expertise to find someone who's genuinely good at all of it and can give it all of the necessary attention. So get more specialist experts in each field.

So why are we just giving Moyes control over everything anyway? It goes completely against the whole idea

If you follow through his logic then you would have a DOF at the top and the specialists reporting in to him. In reality you had specialists reporting into Thelwell anyway so its a false analogy. We've effectively gone back to the set up we had under Kenwright.

Roma has a sporting director/ director of football.

They hired him in June. I don't know why people are saying they have the same set up as us, they very clearly do not.
