Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

I think it's his only really big flaw and I'd be concerned about him moving to a top club who are expected to have all the possession for that reason

On the other hand I think there's very few better managers for taking a mid-level club up a level.

This summer will be fascinating manager wise, so many interesting ones almost certainly on the move -

Glasner
Iraola
Hoeness
Perez
Maresca
Alonso
Pochettino?
Fabregas?

God knows if we're looking in that bracket but regardless the domino effect will be huge
This summer is a perfect time to move Moyes on, we just need to be clear what we want and have a clear list to work from. Glasner at top for me, I think he’s a very good fit for us. I like the Lens & Stuggart managers, plus Knutsen from Bodo/Glimt. English managers McKenna & Carsley. Ancelotti as the wild card! There’s going to be plenty of choice.

Glasner - no chance coming here.
If it did somehow happen though, 3 months of 3 at the back and he'll be getting hounded out..

Mckenna - expect most people would be neutral with him..

Who do you trust with the Summer kitty..

Remember tho, we do still have a manager with 18months on his contract..

He wouldn’t be hounded out. We like to think we have some super demanding fan-base, but it’s not the reality.

Lots of clubs fans openly turn on their manager in the stadium, but we didn’t really do it with Lampard who had us rock bottom.
We didn’t really do it with Dyche who played the worst football I’ve ever seen from Everton.
We didn’t even do it with Benitez, who was a disgraceful appointment in the first place.

Look at this place on a daily basis, this might not be in the stands, but it still plays out the same way nowadays, patience has died.

Look at each new player thread.
Look at Moyes thread
Look at the TFG thread

Look at basically every thread in this sector..

Moyes done a great job coming back and all people care about is how quickly his bags are packed.

Your response might have played out in the past, not nowadays..

Even the morrocan lad, has failed after 2 days of posts.

What are your thought on Moyes ?

If everybody is happy, why are they always looking for the next best thing, and it has to be now..

We stick 3 at the back, the football will start getting questioned, or it will all just go straight to the Manager/Recruitment team..

Glasner plays three at the back in a way that wins matches. It’s not a fluke.

Very strange response mate, every formation is a managers approach to winning.

Wether certain styles are classed outdated, the manager will still think it's the right way. They don't go out there thinking we could fluke this..

Glasner would be a very welcome appointment, but tell me any of the responses in my last post isn't how things play out now..

We just went out the cup to Sunderland and look at the fume.

Imagine if it had been Macclesfield..

I imagine the anger would be a bit less the year immediately after winning the damn thing.

Honestly mate, there are managers, and we had one recently, that are not trying to win matches.

First thing, he’s not wedded to a back 3 in the same way as Amorim - has played a four plenty at previous clubs.

Secondly, it appears that it’s been known internally there that he was off since at least October. So there’s a good chance their whole season is a dead rubber.

That said, he does seem to have a limited shelf life at all his clubs to date.

I like Glasner and would definitely have him here over Moyes. Just looked at the Palace squad, I only know about five of their players and they're on par with Everton in the league even with all of our household names.

Would love the club to approach Palace and see if they'd be willing to part company with him early... bring Munoz, Wharton and Mateta with him while you're at it.

Obviously no chance but it would be nice.

It's gonna be annoying when Moyes is still here at the start of next season tbh.

McKenna I think is underrated and unsexy but very good. I think ideally he'd have had another year in the prem first though

Hoeness at Stuttgart will be elite but I think he gets snapped up by a UCL club

Yep I think this is spot on. I’ll criticise Moyes on here but I’m not going to start calling for his head at the match.

Exactly, look at his club timescale, he doesn't look like someone coming in for a 5yr project.

If we have the chance for him in the summer, then grab it.

A fresh start, a new manager outlook.
It would be a pick up straight away.
I like everything I've seen of the him, i just know how things go with patience.

I know Moyes carried alot of baggage already.
But after keeping us up, we already had a poll on here wanting him out if we lost to fullham..

Areola had a terrible start at Bournemouth, thats easily forgotten when its at another club.
That start wouldn't have done him any favours here..

We're fed up with Moyes not making signings this window, but want him gone in the summer.

What happens to these new signings once a new manager with a totally different approach walks through the door..
