Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Iraola and Glasner look more possible than they did at the start of the season.

The manager market is very weird right now because there's not many absolute banker elite coaches (Ancelottis and Peps) available but there's absolutely loads of very interesting managers in the tier below that who'd largely be chomping at the bit to manage in the prem. I'd be surprised if there wasn't one that was a good fit.
For me those 3 are probably the most appealing candidates

After a week of rough results, discussion on here suggests that a fair number of people would be happy enough to see the back of Moyes at the end of this season.

This poses a question - If TFG feel the same way, who are they tapping up to take over in summer?

Suggestions below. If thread gets enough replies will add a poll with the most popular choices.

He now has the experience.

A coach that has us playing on the front foot and sets out to win games, speaks positively and shows some flexibility and signs of progression, that gives us some belief would be backed imo, it’s what we’re crying out for.

Think the fanbase is tired of having to put up with negative hoofball merchants that make watching us play a chore
That’s easy to say but when they lose a few games, they’ll be chased out whatever style we’re playing. Imagine if we had Glasner or Iraola and they had a run like they’re currently on, they wouldn’t last long.

Agreed. When Moyes came back he talked about challenging for Europe- then picked a reserve team in the league cup and sets us up in every home game with no attacking intent. He’s managing us like we’re in a relegation battle and fully focused on safety first rather than trying to proactively impact how a game is going. Our home form is a real cause for concern.

I do feel like I remember Hoeness saying he would only leave for a CL club so that may be off the cards.

If I had to pick one though I think it would be Iraola with the caveat that it would take a bit of adjustment and the fans would need some patience
Iraola is interesting because he's shown that his tactics can work in England, albeit maybe not completely consistently. He would certainly fit what people are asking for though - plays entertaining football, develops young players.

I actually hadn't realised quite how mad Farioli's record is at Porto. 85% win percentage! Obviously pinch of salt managing Porto in that league but still bonkers.

Moyes is a manager who's ceiling is "steady the ship." Ancelotti would steady the ship whilst simultaneously raising our profile and moving us forwards. He was a manager we were lucky to have, at a time when the club was embarking on implosion. Under the new owners, with the proper backing, I think he'd be great for us and put us on a very firm footing for the next manager.
I dont agree. He is fantastic but our level requires anothet skillset.
