I am getting a bit fed up know with people saying it was a dive look at the contact area ABOVE THE WAIST, if you are running full pelt like Baines was and someone stops your arms moving ( like RIED Does ) your balance is thrown therefore a foul has been committed, try and run yourself and let someone pull or stop your arm GO ON I DARE YOU or do you not want to be proved WRONG.

When you touch someone on the arm like that their feet don't fly out from under them. His balance wasn't thrown by anyone but himself.

My dad and I were watching the game and the first thing both of us thought was, "Dive."
One thing that would put a quick end to diving, especially in the box, would be if a video review after the game could reverse a penalty decision and wipe out any resulting goal, like Suarez' latest flop vs. Villa. Result changed to a 2-1 Villa win. Of course, catching a dive to gain a fifth goal in a 5-0 rout wouldn't change the result, but seeing as most dives are committed with the score fairly close, it might cause a few serial offenders to rethink things.

No way.

A team could make it 2-2 due to a dodgy pen and sit back for the rest of the game then get the goal wiped off and the score made 2-1. While you could say it'd serve them right, they'd have attacked and maybe scored another if they were a goal down rather than drawing. What about the teams around their opponents who get 3 points instead of 1?

Have you tried to do it yet or are you just jumping on the bandwagon its a foul SIMPLE.

Just tried it in my kitchen with my dogs. They managed to stay on their feet (both of them), therefore the scientific conclusion to this debate is........

He dived.

Typical Baines, diving again...

Cracking dive both theatrical and amusing, Steven Reid could hardly believe it and Baines looked suitably embarrassed when Reid said "wtf?".

It's a dive, end of. Don't do it anymore Bainsy.

I will say though, I don't blame the players for going down easy, even Suarez. If they are going to keep benefitting from it and not punished there's no reason for them stop. I remember earlier this year Coleman got hacked in the box badly, he stumbled but he stayed on his feet. He goes down there and it's a nailed on pen. So what does Seamus get for being honourable? Naff all.

The fault lies with referees and the FA.
