Had my Donovan away kit in the cart (IMO only way to make the pink kit ace), and was ready to celebrate. Such is life. Lando made his decision and from this point move on. Mick said it best, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find, you get what you need. I have freely admitted that I had never watched Everton before Landon came over on loan. As a result, I now "Know my History" and when I hear ZCars, and see Blues shirts walking out on the pitch, I get goose bumps. So Landon is not coming. Is it a drag? Yes. Although I have to say that I find the situation is not quite so dire when I put positive and negative apart and compare. Before the loan I had no idea who the best little spaniard was, no clue who "Boss" Baines was, or Cahill, Rodwell, or Feli, or Jags, no idea that if we feed the Yak he will score(Is that still true? jk). Also I had no idea who LCAB, TXBill, Chico, Muggins, Matt Damon(well I knew him from elsewhere), Dutch Toffee, and all the other class acts who post here were. As for jh14, disbelieve the oracle at your own peril. LCAB gives us the best up to date info as possible, and as with all things in life, the situation is fluid and ever changing. So what may look promising one day, could be crap the next. So in closing, we lost a loan, but I gained so much freaking more. Lando brought me to be an Everton fan, and that doesn't change, even if he never comes back. I came for Landon, but stayed for Everton. All that matters is that at the end of the day we are better, win or lose, because we are Everton, and they are not. We are quality without an inflated price tag, we are of a fighting spirit that everyone else wishes they had. So I didn't get what I wanted(Lando), but I got what I needed(EVERTON). COYB!
