The manager thing I blame on indecision

I put it down to the fact bill and farhad disagree on many things hense so many bad decisions are being made

The sooner farhad buys bill out and we have one decision maker rather than two the better

Everton spent £150m last summer plus a further £40m on players in January for a desperately poor return. Asked whether Moshiri would make similar funds available this summer, Brands replied: “No. First of all we need to offload players to raise money [to spend], and also salary-wise. But it’s not only a money thing. Of course money is important but also, for a coach, it is not workable to start with 38 players in your squad. We have to look for a squad Marco can work with and I think there always has to be space for young players to come to the first team.

“That has to be, let’s say, 25-30 players. Now there are 38 and a lot are not young any more. They are players who have arrived. We have to be honest when we take the decision with these players. Do they have prospects here at Everton? Some of the conversations will not be nice but I think Marco must start with a squad that everyone is eager to play for and has prospects to play.”

Just in case @d4kyxx hasnt read the words.

I mean how people can see any fault at all with this is beyond me.

Fixed that for ya ;)

Anyway, we're skint apparently.

The £12 million it cost to sack Martinez was Kenwrights fault for giving him such a long contract before Moshiri came.

If we stuck with Martinez I wonder where we would be now.

I think it’s quite obvious we don’t have much money. Clearly there is more due to the tv rights deal. And last year more due to the sale of lukaku but believe me there isn’t as much as many believe there is. Far had stated even as recently as yesterday that he isn’t willing to throw much money in
No its not. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Doesn't mean it's true.

Raising somewhere in the region of 80-100m to get rid of 10-15 players and bringing in 4-5 replacements for the same is doable. Will mean more likely to see Hokgate and Keane as first choice CBs

I’ve said for a while now Bill needs to go for us to truely move forward. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will happen anytime soon

Exactly

And the fact brands stated moshiri is not willing to spend as much as last year heightens my argument that there isn’t much money available

But your just as entitled to believe there is money. Again opinions

Sell the '12' marcel mentioned:

Yala
Sandro
Rooney
Williams
Garbutt
Mirallas
Robles
Besic
Galloway
Schneiderlin
Cuco
Ty

I’d include Niasse in this

Bolasie Baines Jags also
He's not selling the captain. We don't have a LB to replace Baines either. Niasse is a weird one. He does offer competition to any striker we have, he gets the goals?

I think the panic (from some) is unnecessary here.

As people have said, we obviously need to reduce the size of the squad and offload some poor signings. However, if people genuinely believe that we need to fund any player purchases purely through sales then I think you are wide of the mark.

Both Brands and Silva said in their presser that they have some players in mind to purchase. With a reduced transfer window and a world cup, they will give themselves little time to get any signings over the line in time if they sell first. I think we will sign some key players before we see many go out. Then Brands' job will be to recoup as much money as possible from sales, which even if it ends up covering the cost of purchases is not an issue (that's sensible financing). It only becomes an issue if the club is constantly asset stripping as we have done on the past.

I think if we want to move forward jags needs improving on. Baines isn’t the same as he was although as a second choice next season I’d be happy with it. Agree with Niasse he does score the goals but for me he isn’t capable of taking us to the next level with his overall game. It’s worrying that he’s our best striker in a sense

Ah come on, we know what he invested 150 mill, to recapitalize the buisness, the buisness has done most of the above no doubt the investment has helped. His investment is 150 mill, so far.
