The squad size is no different than it has been for years. You carry on believing the club has serious money
The squad is far bigger than it was this time last season.
We sold one player last summer.
We bought nine.
It's simple maths.

Give me an hour
I know I wanted some ice to go in the other day and there was 3 bags of frozen peas. WTF the peas being the number 10s@d4kyxx - Are you like this in real life?
Like when you go shopping, the big food shop, you know, are you like we can't get the cornflakes this week because we still have some Rice Crispies left?
You know, you walk down the freezer aisle and see a nice frozen pizza, lets call it the Jamaal Lascelles Meat Feast, and you want it, you really want it, you can easily afford it, but you have no room in your freezer because your psycho ex wife kept buying Lidl own brand Davy Klaassen ready meals and Sandro Ramirez Quiches.
I've tried to make it simple for you. There's no room in the freezer.
I don't disagree with your analysis , strategy or the list of players to "offload".
However your assesment that it will be "easy" to move on 14 players is ludicrous given the age , ( reduced ) valuations and most importantly the wages that most on your list command.
It is very difficult to see who , for instance , will take on A. Williams ( especially with his injury ) , Schneiderlin or Mirallas given their wage demands and level of performance at this stage in their careers.
Pennington has just signed a new contract , do you think we did that just to get a fee of £1 million ?
Galloway hasn't kicked a ball for anyone in over 12 months - whose going to pay good money for him?
McCarthy still out with a broken leg but hey no problem someone will pay us £5 million.
Who in their right mind would have Cuco ? Koeman certainly wasn't.
Saying move them on is simple , the reality is far more difficult.
You’re sat down at some mental £300 a head Heston Blumenthal restaurant and you want to tuck into the snail porridge and quail caviar you have in front of you. Unfortunately you crammed £300 of Welsh Williams burgers and Yannick Bolasie (attempted) chips from the local kebab house down your throat so you’re full so physically can’t eat the good stuff. Also you’ve spent too much so you are now in an unarranged overdraft so you’re going to get fined by the bank.I think weve clearly established already that @d4kyxx dines in restaurants mate.
Can you fit that in an example?
@d4kyxx
Lets say that there is a lunch special in the restaurant. But you must have a clean plate at the end of the meal.
You give it a try and 20 dishes come out onto your table all looking delicious.
So, you try each dish...some you dont like so you give to another diner to eat...some of them dont taste too bad but arent really worth the money paid and so you (being a generous creature) pass them to other people to enjoy...but there are a couple of dishes which you really enjoy and lick the plate clean (insert photo of jordan pickford).
The next day you decide to order the same menu but explain to the waiter that you want to eat more of your favourite dishes at that same price. He explains that he can either;
1-- Add new dishes to your bill
2-- Change some of the dishes to others which you are more familiar with but havent tried in this particular restaurant
Which option do choose?
Who do you think is going to buy these players? We may save wages, but we're not going to raise much cash.
And in the case of Rooney, I doubt that we have been meeting the entire cost of his wages.
Its also worth pointing out that with one or two possible exceptions nobody in our squad is terrible or anything. We can make all the lists we want but the manager may actually rate a couple of the players who have struggled for us in the past and will be able to get something out of them.
Players like Schniederlin, Besic, Mirallas and even the likes of a Tarashaj or Galloway all have ability in some form or other and may be able to use these players better than previous management has.
Dominic King reporting Sneiderlin wants out...now theres a supriseThe squad is far bigger than it was this time last season.

Ha Ha Ha.Dunno C.
We could always just keep 38 players, buy another 10 players and file for bankruptcy 6months from now when we cant afford to pay everybody.
Its an option like.
