Sell to buy

We are selling to get rid of CRAP and will then spend whatever is necessary to buy quality squad players.

This is what we have all wanted.

Who do you think is going to buy these players? We may save wages, but we're not going to raise much cash.

And in the case of Rooney, I doubt that we have been meeting the entire cost of his wages.

Stekelenburg
Cuco
Williams
Browning
Galloway
Mori
Pennington
Connolly
Feeney
McCarthy
Williams (joe)
Grant
Klaassen
Schneiderlin
Mirallas
Bolasie
Rooney
Sandro
Niasse

Theres 19 players there who decisions will be made on.

So according to my post above, thats 19 out and 5 or 6 in.

+ Tarashaj & Besic

2 issues I have with this mind:

1. Does this mean we can only stump up the momwy for signings AFTER we have confirmation that we are offloading 10-15 worth of players?

2. As someone else said the average price for a player now is £20-30 million (wolves bidding £35 million for some bloke who hasnt even made the WC) and I just cant see us recouing more than say £50-60 million from the players supposedly available for sale. Problem then is we definitely need more than just 2 signings this window.

@d4kyxx - Are you like this in real life?

Like when you go shopping, the big food shop, you know, are you like we can't get the cornflakes this week because we still have some Rice Crispies left?
You know, you walk down the freezer aisle and see a nice frozen pizza, lets call it the Jamaal Lascelles Meat Feast, and you want it, you really want it, you can easily afford it, but you have no room in your freezer because your psycho ex wife kept buying Lidl own brand Davy Klaassen ready meals and Sandro Ramirez Quiches.

I've tried to make it simple for you. There's no room in the freezer.

I think weve clearly established already that @d4kyxx dines in restaurants mate.

Can you fit that in an example?

1-- No.

2-- Theres close to £100mil there even with bargain prices.

Stekelenburg Free
Cuco Free
Williams 2mil
Browning 1mil
Galloway 1mil
Mori 12mil
Pennington 1mil
Connolly 5mil
Feeney (probably loan)

McCarthy 5mil
Williams (joe) 3-5mil
Grant 500k
Klaassen 12mil
Schneiderlin 18mil
Mirallas Free
Bolasie 10mil
Rooney Free
Sandro 6mil
Niasse 15mil

I could see those players in bold perhaps staying. 14 players out minimum no problem.
I don't disagree with your analysis , strategy or the list of players to "offload".

However your assesment that it will be "easy" to move on 14 players is ludicrous given the age , ( reduced ) valuations and most importantly the wages that most on your list command.

It is very difficult to see who , for instance , will take on A. Williams ( especially with his injury ) , Schneiderlin or Mirallas given their wage demands and level of performance at this stage in their careers.

Pennington has just signed a new contract , do you think we did that just to get a fee of £1 million ?

Galloway hasn't kicked a ball for anyone in over 12 months - whose going to pay good money for him?

McCarthy still out with a broken leg but hey no problem someone will pay us £5 million.

Who in their right mind would have Cuco ? Koeman certainly wasn't.

Saying move them on is simple , the reality is far more difficult.
