A player who can play inbetween the lines or out on the wing, very skillful. Would rather see us go for an out and out Striker like Nicky Maynard or save the money to purchase Donovan.

All the American's out here in California wouldn't blame Donovan for moving, were as two years they would of. I'm hoping we can work something out!

I would 100% take him. I still rate him as a player and we NEED forwards badly.

If we could get him for cheap and his wages weren't too high, I think it would be a pretty good buy. Unfortunately, this is likely just another jarg rumor.

Salary expectations are unrealistic though.

I would like him at the club, he has got pace and is great out wide, chips in with a few goals as well.
the website above suggests that he is on about £70,000 a week, some have said that this is beyond us, but I am sure that when Arteta went to Arsenal it was reported that he took a pay cut down to £60,000 a week, so surely he must have been on £70,000 or more?

I think the main stumbling block to signing him would be the transfer fee, so perhaps we could loan until the end of the season? Then sign him when his contract runs out? Or he could be part of a potential deal for Rodwell.

Salomon Kalou is considering a return to England with Lille ready to sell in January.

The 27-year-old joined for free from Chelsea in the summer as Lille beat West Ham, QPR and Everton, among others, in the race to win his signature.
Those clubs could be tempted to take a look at Kalou again come January, but his high wages could prove prohibitive.
Lille, who came third in Ligue 1 in 2011/12 and won the doube in 2010/11, have endured a tough campaignthis season, and are currently languishing in 11th place, nine points off the leaders, Paris Saint-Germain.
Kalou has hit just three goals in 17 appearances so far this season.

Everton are also keen on out-of favour Ajax winger Miralem Sulejmani, who snubbed a move to West Ham in the summer.
The Serb joined Ajax for £13.8million two years ago but has only played six times this season.

No surprises kalou is on the move again, he's awful, no doubt he'll continue to drop down around clubs til he either finds his level, or finds a club stupid enough to pay him a fortune to sit on the bench.
