Remember how effective Marcus Bent was. Or Radzinski. Or even Andy Johnson. He's a better footballer than all of them. Pace is a massive weapon and currently we have one player with pace. I agree he's not a world beater but he'd be a good asset to our squad. And I thought I'd seen he was on a free but that's probably wrong. They only signed him last summer didn't they?

Yeah i agree we seriously lack pace, which is vital in the modern game but not this guy. He joined Lille on a bosman in the summer.
