Being all the way over here in Aus I guess we miss out on a lot of the day to day news on the lives of these kind of people.

Question - Alot of talk goes around how x of x footballer / sports stars are bankrupt within 5 years of retiring etc.. How is Rooney with his money? Has he invested a lot into property etc? Relevant I think because after what he has been earning for all this time is it all that unrealistic that now money is of no apparently concern to him for this life (and the next 10 if he has been smart about it) he would like to return to us (I mean 100k a week isn't all bad is it?)

Not getting ahead of myself but these are question's that are important to all this speculation I guess?

He would have to take a massive pay cut to come here and might run the risk of losing sponsorships but then again he's an Evertonian and so is his family plus he has enough money now to just live off interest and investments for the rest of his life so money might not come into his decision making. As the saying goes: stranger things have happened.

Its what he can do after football, coaching, i cant see him doing TV work, He might have all that money now, but he wants all the good things for all his life and then for his kids. and kids kids.

He'll be going from 15 million a year to 5 million a year if he comes here.
