We won 5 league games at Goodison under Martinez in 15-16, FIVE! Don't tell me that laughable charlatan was better then Koeman. Last season we won more home league games then Martinez managed in the previous two seasons combined.

What about his first season though?

What about his first season though?

Really wasn't all that much better then finishing 6th the previous season under Moyes. Yeah it was nice to play different a shock a few people but it amounted to nothing other then a slight improvement league wise, we won sweet FA. Which is exactly what Koeman did last season only he jumped from 11th (which was 13th under Martinez) to 7th and Martinez jumped from 6th to 5th.

Martinez, just. Whilst our home form last season under Koeman was boss, our away form was atrocious.

He won 4 away games in his time here...4! And against the mighty opposition of WBA, Sunderland, Leicester and Palace.

Four away wins from 23.

It was the most enjoyable season supporting Everton since Joe Royle.

So yeah, it was massively different.

Not all down to Moyes, but if you look at Martinez entire PL record, that season sticks out like a sore thumb. It's naive to think he happened to get it right in just that one season.

It was an absolute dream for him to get the back 5 he was afforded.

That was a fully trained fully functioning defence that averaged a clean sheet ever other game in 13/14.

He ruined this club. Koeman just didn't resuscitate it.
