This thread is a disgrace. Revisionist melts everywhere.
Everton managers' Premier League record (after 47 games)
Manager Win %
Roberto Martinez 51.06%
David Moyes 44.68%
Ronald Koeman 40.43%
Howard Kendall 38.30%
Joe Royle 34.04%
Walter Smith 34.04%
...yes, I know: "and then the wheels fell off".
Still, let's not get silly and start denying RM had a terrific (almost) first half to his tenure here before the slide downhill in the second half of his tenure.
To compare that chump Koeman to Martinez is a travesty. Koeman is quite comfortably vying with the very worst managers we've ever had. An utterly clueless hologram of a manager who's catastrophic spending before he left has probably killed us for a generation, unless our academy can really come through with a lot of top class talent.
Thanks "Ronk".

That was mainly down to his philosophy and Kamikaze defending. But at least he had a plan, brought in players to fullfil that plan.
Koeman was just clueless. Absolutely clueless.
Do the maths, its almost half the games. How is one decent season out of three a good first half?
Moyes is unemployable now as a manager; Koeman has been sacked by 4 clubs. He still has a better winning rate than your idol throughout his entire career as well as his time at Everton. And Moyes are above them in terms of winning rate at Everton. Face it, both RK and RM failed at this club and both are clueless in some aspects. BBC is laughable by picking 47 games as the calculation of the winning rate because their Everton career did not just last for 47 games except Koeman.
Moyes 173 wins out of 427 PL games = 40.52%
Martinez 43 wins out of 113 PL games = 38.05%
Koeman 19 wins out of 47 PL games = 40.43%
Do the maths, its almost 50% of games.

Martinez is leading one of the favourites in next summer's WC.
The end.
Here's what it looks like on a pie chart:You can stretch the number to whatever point in the second season you want so that the % is higher. We saw it with our own eyes, whatever magic was there in the first season was well and truly absent in seasons 2 or 3. This is nowhere near 50% of his tenure.
So what it has nothing to do with Everton.
I was talking about the winning rate of them at Everton then you shift the topic to whether they are employed or not for the time being. Simple, because you cannot rewrite the winning rate of managers at this football club.
Nailed it.I think the point @davek is trying to make and you're reluctant to see is that Moyes has been a walking disaster since he left Everton...
Koeman has failed miserably to bring his stellar playing career into management... and El Bob whilst ultimately failing with Everton after a bright start has sufficiently recovered his mojo and his career is still on an upward trend.

Tale of two halves, essentially.
