Roberto Martinez discussion

Well, wether he makes it to 2019 with us wont be determined by a season like this, that's for sure. A stinker next season and he'll be gone, like.

But I see genuinely conflicting evidence about the way we go now as a football club, and I think most people see it too. The ingredients are there to kick on...and he was the one who brought the ingredients together. If he cant manage to put a charge together next season though that wont matter.

But, but you said, WOW.

Has Ian got to you David? Do you wanna be a Plotter?

I am a realist.

The feller has revolutionised our playing style. Task #1 sorted. Task #2 is to win something or get us nearish the top spots in the PL.

Down to him. No reason he cant be here 10 years if there's a genuine upturn in our fortunes and we capitalise on our good football.

WOW! Where are we in the league? Semi final that we didn't win, depends on the draw tomorrow for the fa cup, we have not improved from last season. Just because we have a higher points total now does not constitute a better season. We also have players that are more settled to the team and system but we still keep coming up with the same results, this has to be down to the manager?

We finished on a poor 47 points last season, we're currently on 35.
If we finish on 50+ points and get to two semi's then that would be an improvement on last season.

Don't get me wrong, 50+ points is below what I think our aim needs to be, but it would undoubtedly be an improvement on last season.

When does he stop being a tit though. If he delivers our first cup in 20 years or does he have to get us consistently in and around CL places. Genuinely interested in your opinion on that. (Or does he just need to stop talking wham in his pressers)

....the pressers irk hugely at times, as do the oft' baffling substitutions.

I don't want us to go down the road of sacking, all that, ideally I'd like to avoid that....or rather I'd like performance to prevent that road ever being opened. But it concerns me now - has done for time - that his insistence on the good attacking stuff, and seemingly only concentrating on that, often impacts on results. As I think the table shows....I just hope he gets the mix right. At some point. Soon....

That said, improvement of late like, so hope springs, all that...

The Plotters don't like facts Woolly, they just want blood.

Improving on our worst season in 25 years isnt really something I personally wish to applaud.

It only matters where we are in the league once the season is over. Until then we are well within striking distance off 6th/7th and 90 minutes from Wembley.

I'm pretty sure having more points does constitute in a better season, since it means we've won more and lost less.

We have improved on last year. Hopefully we can maintain it for the rest of the season.
Is right Titus...we are a couple of wins off 5th !

Season got a 3rd to go yet , we're not out of it yet.
