This is my point exactly. Nothing less than competing for top 4 with this team should've been the seasons objectives, Martinez just hasn't taken us to that next level with the players at his disposal. A semi-final and a fa cup 6th round isn't the success we were all hoping for this season.

....the pressers irk hugely at times, as do the oft' baffling substitutions.

I don't want us to go down the road of sacking, all that, ideally I'd like to avoid that....or rather I'd like performance to prevent that road ever being opened. But it concerns me now - has done for time - that his insistence on the good attacking stuff, and seemingly only concentrating on that, often impacts on results. As I think the table shows....I just hope he gets the mix right. At some point. Soon....

That said, improvement of late like, so hope springs, all that...

People just need to recognise this fact and ignore his public utterances, for talking bollox is something he's done for years way before he came here. This is the man who publicly said Bramble and Cattermole were worthy of places in the England squad ( or words to that effect ).

When he opens his mouth, hit mute. It was a breath of fresh air at first, but got stale even back in his first season. I love him to bits, but wouldn't buy a used car from him, mainly because it was probably Gibbo's and he'd sell it to me as "one careful owner".
