Roberto Martinez discussion

Aye, and you're nowhere near subtle enough to ever be a mod, not that we'd have you anyway.

What amazes me, is that people know you're wumming, but they still bite. For that, I tip my hat to you, it's defo a skill you've got there. If you're not already, you'd make an ace union rep. The management would know what you were doing, but would at least have to take you seriously !

Anyway, back on topic, Martinez won't be allowed to see his contract out.

WUM.

I think two SF spots and anywhere in the top half will be a very good season. We're very close to that now. Just need a decent draw tomorrow and get our heads doiwn in the last 12 PL games.

The truth is that, results wise, this season has always been on a knife edge between discernible progress and treading water. The next three months will give us the definitive answer on that.

No Trophies and coming 9th would be a very good season?

You realise we have a higher points total now than this time last season and have bettered both of our domestic cup campaigns?
WOW! Where are we in the league? Semi final that we didn't win, depends on the draw tomorrow for the fa cup, we have not improved from last season. Just because we have a higher points total now does not constitute a better season. We also have players that are more settled to the team and system but we still keep coming up with the same results, this has to be down to the manager?

It only matters where we are in the league once the season is over. Until then we are well within striking distance off 6th/7th and 90 minutes from Wembley.

I'm pretty sure having more points does constitute in a better season, since it means we've won more and lost less.

We have improved on last year. Hopefully we can maintain it for the rest of the season.

No lad, 'tis the most likely outcome, and you know it as well as I do.
Well, wether he makes it to 2019 with us wont be determined by a season like this, that's for sure. A stinker next season and he'll be gone, like.

But I see genuinely conflicting evidence about the way we go now as a football club, and I think most people see it too. The ingredients are there to kick on...and he was the one who brought the ingredients together. If he cant manage to put a charge together next season though that wont matter.
