Anyone else got the sense that some on here would rather we didn't win a cup because that would be "papering over the cracks." We were one leg away from the league cup final and we continue to progress in the fa. We've been seriously underperforming in the league (particularly at home). Everyone acknowledges that even #davek, but I just don't get people raging at our performance or worse sounding disappointed or grudging that we won away against a PL team in a round where a few pl teams will get knocked out. At least the away support gets it: nice to hear Bobby's Army and School of Science being sung today. Fans who support thei team when they put in a shift, keep a clean sheet, and win away 2-0.

...nah mate, as much as the BOB gets on my teats I'd never not want to progress, ever. Get what you mean though. Crack papering or not, I deffo want us to win it....

And I deffo want us to finish as high up the league as possible because that too is a sign of progress for me.

That said....the manager's still an infuriating tit.

Onward though eh, so that's all good. Just hope the draw's kind.

When does he stop being a tit though. If he delivers our first cup in 20 years or does he have to get us consistently in and around CL places. Genuinely interested in your opinion on that. (Or does he just need to stop talking wham in his pressers)

Only watched the 2nd half and the replays of the first half shown at half time.

Lukaku should have scored in the 1st half and Robles was fantastic again. They saw a bit of the ball at our end of the pitch but didn't really cause us too big a problem in the 2nd half, can only really think of the Gosling header they had on target? Got a bit of luck with the first and it was a great touch from Barry to set up Lukaku for the 2nd.

Good win, onto the next round! 90 mins away from Wembley...
