Roberto Martinez says Everton's season would be a failure even if they WIN the FA Cup final

Martinez never uttered the word failure - he said it would be disappointing. The journalist has used the word 'failure' to sensationalise what Martinez has said. Typical.
Degs I'm not the one you should come at bra. I'm jus too fie.@chicoazul; here are the stats;
Home
WBA 76% L 0-1!
New 55 W 3-0*
Swan 55 L 1-2!
Stoke 51 L 3-4!
Spurs 50 D 0-0?
Leic 65 L 2-3!
CPal 59 D 1-1!
Villa 60 W 3-0*
Sund 63 W 6-2*
Untd 53 L 0-3#Howie
RS 48 D 1-1 unquantifiable
Chel 45 W 3-0*
What 68 D 2-2! for my argument I only count wins at Home as 'good' = * # = 'bad' ? = meh
Away
Stoke 41% W 0-3*
Chel 45 D 3-3*
Newc 61 W 0-1*
Bourn 43 D 3-3*
WHU 49 D 1-1*
Arsl 40 L 1-2?
WBA 57 W 2-3*
Swan 42 D 2-2*
Spurs 52 D 0-0*
South 35 W 0-3* and wins and draws as 'good' away
So which is it Home and away form or too much possession or a bit of both.
As I would I'm for it's all Martinez's fault, he thinks he want possession in theory but in fact , like Vs EFC and City in the cup he is actually more effective on the break with less possession.
Or not, I mean its stats and interpretation innit.

Then came Boxing day 2013 V's Sunderland with the Howard Osman soft shoe shuffle. This in my opinion is where it all started to go down hill.
Not to defend or crucify him just to place him...I still want him gone.
And if by season end, we've got to either 8th or preferably 5th, we can therefore judge the season as relatively successful and not a failure.
Tenth or lower and I for one will be thoroughly underwhelmed and I suspect there'll be many more like me!!
@Dario Terracotta @The Esk @Khalekan @Groucho @Woolly Blue
The bold bit. Throughout his managerial career he has done a few things differently for example at Swansea it was possession based and at Wigan he tried the possession - playing from the back but also developed a counter attacking style that kept them in the Premier League.
How many teams would go to Wigan and park the bus? The 'parking the bus' is a relatively new issue for him to deal with. At the moment he is still struggling to come to grips with this. His first 2 seasons we won at home from good play and also a bit of luck at times and good defending by the players. But more and more managers are going away from home and playing on the counter - parking the bus and hitting teams on the break. 'Defending' does become an issue as does defenders concentrating for the 90 minutes and getting in the right spot to defend.
Martinez needs to develop a 'style/type' of play that can win against teams that 'park the bus/play on the counter'.
The train arrived several minutes late this morning. Not only was it Martinez's fault, but I knew that it was going to be his fault as early as 2013!
The clown
Fingers crossed Dario.we'll get NSNO back blockhead my old mate!!
verily didst thou diss me, oh ye of short memory...'utter' you quoth...I mean 'utter' ffs. we play better with less possession. see the law of unintended consequences.Degs I'm not the one you should come at bra. I'm jus too fie.
Degga you didn't want him before 2013 was through. You'd made your mind up bra. What chance did he stand with you?verily didst thou diss me, oh ye of short memory...'utter' you quoth...I mean 'utter' ffs. we play better with less possession. see the law of unintended consequences.
he hasn't got a scooby.
but have no doubt I'll fly from Brisbane and allez allez oh with the best of them come cup final day...saying all the time I always knew that davek was right.
This is ludicrous. What about the six or seven game run that came in March/April where we shot up to fourth? Was that downhill?
You actually believe we got four months before it went downhill. Ace.
Oh no of course not. We really couldn't tell. That bit where you myopically attack him every time we have an adverse result, I mean it shows just such a level approach.
It's almost like you didn't want him in the first place and are more preoccupied with being proven right on the internet rather than your team being successful.
