Right now this club is a shambles

He's the only one left in this squad with the gumption to turn defence into attack and rock the opposition back on their heels. Our opponents are very comfortable setting up against this present Everton team.

If he leaves in January because of Koeman then the boy is utterly daft cause there's no way he will still be in charge next August

We just seem so static in our play. We must be a dream to defend against. Ross can commit defenders when he runs with the ball and yes his decision making is flawed at times. But like you said he offers us something we don't have at present. However with koeman at the helm, I doubt we'll ever see him in an Everton shirt again.

If Koeman is still here in January it'll mean he's managed to turn it around, then it would be wise for Barkley to move on.

I think Koeman would too. Maybe he's hoping he'll walk?

I know he'd lose money if he walked, but it might save his reputation if he openly acknowledged he'd made mistakes that he couldn't rectify. I'm sure there's a mutual consent option somewhere in all this too. But if Moshiri is hoping he'll walk to save money, he should consider how much the club will lose through relegation.
On the Barkley issue, while I've supported Koeman's treatment of him in the past, that is no longer mitigated by decent results on the pitch. I do think he would stay if Koeman left, but I think it will take a very particular kind of manager to get the best out of him, and to handle what, to my mind, is a hugely talented, fragile, and not very bright little boy. I reckon Unsworth would be that manager. He's empathic, shrewd, tough, flexible, and clever. For me, that's just another reason to appoint him.

Agree on both counts.

On the pay off for RK: if he stays the club eventually pay the full cost of his contract / if he goes the club will pay a lot of what remains on his contract. I know what I think the best value for money option is.

It doesn't mean that at all. It means we aren't immediate threat of the bottom 3.

Early sackings don't happen here. Most likely is still Koeman is replaced in the summer. Gutless club. But Barkley is daft if he doesn't realise Koeman won't be here next season.

I disagree. Limping on in the bottom half of the table having spent £200M is not an option. It wont take bottom three status to hand Koeman his cards. If Koeman is to survive past Christmas he'll have to have us top half of the table and making progress in one of the cups.

The money spent changes everything.

I still think his downfall will be dictated by the amount of trust Moshiri has in him regarding more transfer monies. A blind man on a galloping horse could see we need another centre half and a centre forward, they will cost 10s of millions; would you feel confident letting Koeman and Walsh loose with your wallet given the footballing return from the summer spending.

It obviously shouldn't be an option. But it is for BK and Toshiri.

Unsworth also comes across as a good man manager. Barkley needs someone who's good with people.
