I've seen more than enough evidence over three seasons to know that Barkley is our most gifted player. If there's a more gifted player in this squad I'd like to hear who it is.

With the turmoil that is ongoing at present, the RB situation has largely retired to the back of the room and sits there quietly.
I loved him when he played, and would dearly love him to stay, but personally, I can see no turning back for the lad now, irrespective who comes in over the next week or so.

I can see it easily enough. If Koeman leaves then his summertime turning down of a move to Chelsea will be seen as him hanging back and waiting to see if there was any way he could stay at Everton. He'd play well and be a match winner in one game and all would be forgotten.

That's just the fickle nature of football.

The problem with Ross is that people compare him to De Bruyne, Eriksen, and Coutinho etc. Want him to reach that level.

No, he's not up there with them. But he's certainly next in line. @Tubey once said, he's in that tier below the elite.

The top clubs have one or two like or better than him. What do we have? We spent £45mill on a player who is nowhere near Barkley's level.

He's been the chief playmaker for us for 4 years. And it shows now he's gone.

If RK was gone on Sunday, I would not be suprised if RB signed a new contract on Monday.
