There was an Incident yesterday, at Wallyford.
A lorry on the tracks.
If the rumours doing the rounds of how it was handled by the strike breaking management manning the signal box while the incident was on-going are true
There will serious questions being asked, absolutely terrifying act of stupidly .
Don't supposed the details will be in the open for a while , but keep an eye open for it.

Crazy how many people are against the rail strikes, but haven’t said anything about the barristers or BT staff striking. It’s because too many people believe the media bias.

I really hope more strikes happen, we are being shat on from a great height on a daily basis and nobody is sticking up for us, even Labour have a closet Tory leader who has sat and watched it all happen.

Give it time. I remember in the early 2000s, the right wing media (the Mail, Express, Telegraph) managed to write a load of nasty articles about the Fire Brigade striking over terms.

The Fire Brigade. You know, the guys and girls who risk their lives to run into burning buildings to save our arses, for something like £30k a year.

When the RW media have come out against the Fire Brigade, then Junior Doctors, then teachers, now transport staff, you get to understand that they hate working folk, and have nothing but disdain for the ordinary people of this country.

I wouldn't swop with a nurse , couldnt actually havnt got the skill to do it don't think they would want my job either if somebody said if you don't like it go get another one.
By the way last survey of staff on the rail , 5000 took part, [most I know wouldn't bother filling it in),
3 out of 5 workers had suffered some form of assault.
Think of that at the next meetings your at most of the people in the room would have been a victim ,
Not a minority.
It's not painless for us we lose about half are hours those weeks, we have the same pressure on household cost as everybody else, 75% of us voted to strike do you think we did it on a whim?
I am not a slave(, sure some tories think I should be one) and thankful for being allowed to work,
And will uphold my right to withhold my labour as long as its lawful to do so.
Same if any other worker ,nhs ect wanted to they will always have my support.
Just to wind the metropolitan classes up.
?
???????????????????
And Thick lizzie wants to ban strikes completely....are we in the 30s in Nazi Germany?
more power to you fella

Merseyrail is a currently a nightmare to travel on.
with respect, I have been using a mobility scooter due to health problems for the last 4 years, and cannot praise Merseyrail enough for their help in using their service. Their station staff, cleaners, train operators, deserve more money imo,,this strike isn't about drivers although looking at some of the ill informed comments on here in comparing other workers pay you have fallen for the old trick of divide and conquer which both tory and labour governments have used to keep the working class in check.

@peteblue What happens when negotiations between employers and workers break down? What recourse do the unions have? Put up or be made redundant or sacked? Sure you have experienced this in your career?

there could be no better, more effective or more productive strike than for as many people as possible to stop buying those rags
