Wish the RMT was affiliated to the Labour Party...
Not after they said they would reprivertise under Blair .
Precot was funded by them .
Said it many a time he would do that, then took the money and ran ,look at the flat he had in London provided by the union and how that turned out in court .
Left a sour taste for many and when they voted to pull the political fund for Labour it was beaten hands down.
Many feel it has lost its connection with the working class.

The Labour party .
Have been slow getting the facts out there on this situation.
If they every want to get reconnected with the rail workers , they should be briefed on the facts of the deal on offer and be out there shouting about it.
Pensions shattered, thousands out of work .
The pay offer to be payed by employers lowering there contribution to the pensions to fund it.
And actually capping the workers contribution to 1% . And barring new workers from joining for 2 years.
That means all past present and future workers have lost the right to a decent pension they have paid into .
To take the pay offer of 2 % this year and 1% next it would mean most workers would be kissing goodbye to there fellow workers and costing themselves to do it .
But as it stands its us against the press misinformation and the government.
Labour are not seen to be doing much.

You get the feeling the media have been briefed to wind him up and paint him as a thug.
First Kay Burley trying to get him to lean towards saying he will promote physical altercation to stop people crossing the picket line. Now this, trying to insinuate he is going to destroy the world, cause he looks like a puppet.

Thankfully he is just not falling into the trap. All it will take is one wrong word or for him to get angry, and the government will have their man in their sights, and paint him as an aggressor. They are not getting it, from him.
Burley is obnoxious. I can't abide her and switch off as soon as I see her on screen.

What type of pension is it they have?

I'd say rail workers have done pretty well out of it.

What type of pension is it they have?
A pretty tidy one by the looks of it

Before your RPS pension benefits are calculated, there is a Basic State Pension Deductor (BSP Deductor) applied to your final average Pensionable Pay. In RPS60, this is 150% of the Basic State Pension).
For example, if you have a final average Pensionable Pay of £30,000, a deduction of £10,732.80 (150% of the Basic State Pension for tax year 2021/22) will be applied, resulting in a final average Pensionable Pay of £19,267.20 (£30,000 – £10,732.80).
