What struck me the other night was his willingness to help the team from the touchline. Think he was there willing on the players for most of the second half. We could do with something like this with the youngsters we have. Also if he is free then add in an extra body to squad for 15 mil over 2 years doesn't seem a lot in this day and age. Have a feeling his wages would be less than the 150k reported but with a signing on fee to balance it out.

Yes, mainly for this reason.

When Lukaku goes we have no big name player to attract other top players. Rooney, even past his best, is a huge name and will no doubt help us bring the names we want here.

I would encourage the team from the touchline for about 5 mill if im being honest.

Koeman said he'd welcome Rooney to Everton and he has 2 years at least left at the top-level.

He is one of the most famous footballers in the World.

Reports suggest Man Utd would let him go on a free transfer, as a gesture.

Think before you vote. Would you want Wayne Rooney in an Everton squad?

I certainly would. If you believe in Ronald Koeman, if you believe in Moshiri, if you believe in things improving for Everton next year and beyond, vote yes!

I am sick of people slating Wayne Rooney. He is one of the best, if not the best, English footballer over the last 10 years. He is an Evertonian and we should be grateful if we can strike a deal to get him back.

Should be replaced with `was` he is well past it. Why do United want shut of him? Why do we want him if we are competing with them for cl ?
I voted no as it is embarrassing for Everton FC if we sign this washed up, badge kissing fathead judas

Not sure we're going to be challenging for CL next year, probably the year after if all goes well.
We finished 7th without being in either cup very long and not in Europe. I think WR will raise our profile in EL next year and maybe if we push higher than 7th, even win a cup, we are then more likely to attract CL standard players, and not lazy sulker wannabes who think they are good enough now and never show up in big games...

So would anyone apart from the prima donnas sitting on the bench sulking that their not playing. To me it proved it's all about the team and not him whether he is playing or not. Can't be a bad thing to have around our squad. Imagine the lift our youngsters would get getting encouraged by Rooney during a game.

I would sooner take a chance on a youngster from the championship than sign Rooney, he is not good enough, cant last 90 mins and will probably get injured surely signing him is a wind up

I just think his role as a player should be more significant when you are looking at figures of 15 mill a year. If i am being on honest i wouldbe more inspired by Ferguson and Koeman encouraging me from the bench. But thats just me.
