Colleen says she's missing Greaty market....loooks like a goer.
Calling someones wife a goer is a bit over the top mate. Anyway, it's a yes from me. With Europe next season, we need a bigger squad and a 50% Wayne Rooney is a much better option than some of the dross we have on the bench. I happen to think he'll have a new lease of life if the team keeps on progressing. The deal has to be right though.

This is such a tough one.. leaving aside the emotion I just don't know if he's a spent force or just a bit on the Wain.. I'd like him to move on if he's done - like he's doing to United {and not take us for the money) - or is he being literally shown the door because he's done or because he's not up to United's requirements - so one year rolling contract would be fine - plus the added world-wide attention on us if he does sign - that can't be ignored.

It's just gone stale for him at UTD, Barry wasn't exactly a whippet when we signed him but he was a great signing. Rooney is a lot better than Mirallas, will score more than Mirallas, has more bottle than Mirallas, he is a winner and let's be honest we are not going to be signing 4/5 £30 million stars are we

Ok, I've made my decision on this one, and written it down for future vaulting.

He WAS 1 of the best English players, 5 years ago, hes been complete and tosh for the last 2 years, lazy, zero hunger, zero desire.

Hes got 6 months, maybe 12 left before he just stops even trying.

Lets get him in for a season, hes still better than 99% of our squad.

One thing Rooney isn't is lazy. He works harder than most of the team, always tracking back and chasing runners amongst everything else he does.

Are people still bothered about the kissing of the United badge? Christ he was 18/19 wasn't he? Might as well call him Wayne Spooney and see what Nick Chadwick is upto.

I for one would welcome a footballer that can control a ball.

We all know he isn't the player he once was... but you'd like to think he'd be plenty motivated if he did return.
I should imagine Everton's main reason for this, besides Koeman getting an upgrade on players like Kone, would be down to Moshiri. Like the media circus or not, Wayne will bring that with him and a lot of eyes will be on him/us - Will his swan song work out, Will he get back into the England squad etc, can he help fire his boyhood club to Champions League. He's a massive global brand.
We've already got Jim 'I've just received a text' White nicely tapped up to talk about us every day on TalkSport. Not a big fan of his, but the more we are talked about positively in the media the better...
Sentiment makes me want to say yes to Rooney, plus I still think he has plenty to offer.
As a profile raiser for the club it's also a massive yes. Not sure how much other revenue he'd bring in, but it'd offset some of his wages...

Whenever a poll is run on this subject the results are a pretty consistent 60 / 40 split, which is replicated across various other websites and forums. This points to a pretty fractious Goodison , if he should arrive. Do we really want a bitterly divided fan base for the sake of a fat old traitor?
