Stan; most of the time they seem incapable of finding a blue shirt with a pass, so forget anything as complicated as internal moral debate...which really isnt so complicatedMuch better footballers than them at Barcelona, Athletico Madrid and Juventus, for example seem to be perfectly capable of taking a wage cut.
Our greedy, self-centred spoilt brats seem to be incapable of doing anything for their fellow human beings.
Write to the Prem and say that if they were to just cancel the season down, they could allocate the prize money and parachute payments saved to the NHS?

In all likelihood that would reduce the league from 92 teams
Big and hard on the internet....He has you prick.

Everton and Ireland soccer star Seamus Coleman donates €20,000 to fund feeding frontline workers | The Irish Post
EVERTON AND Republic of Ireland footballer Seamus Coleman has donated €20,000 to a fundraising ca...www.irishpost.com
The irony, and sadness of it all! Back page of one of the papers today - two headlines.......
“No pay cuts for My Stars”
Says PFA chief Gordon Taylor
About a quarter of the size next headline is “Stadiums to turn into hospitals”.
How I wish Everton would take the lead on this and announce that the first team squad are taking a sizeable (minimum 50%) reduction in their weekly wage packet until this is all over! The money to go towards, may be directly to the NHS in Liverpool, and also some to EITC! What a great gesture from players of the club that has historically lead the way in so many other things! At the same time shaming every other Premier League club to follow suit - but I won’t hold my breath!
Do the right thing Everton, ignore the rambling mess that is Gordon Taylor and lead the way!
it shouldn't be for Everton to provide money directly to the NHS, that is the clueless, greedy, inept tories job.
EITC should be taking the lead where possible (appreciate there is only so much they can do especially in current circs).
Th NHS do a great job and a great pride to our country. But tbh no matter how much money you gave it it would never be enough. It's a bottomless pitit shouldn't be for Everton to provide money directly to the NHS, that is the clueless, greedy, inept tories job.
EITC should be taking the lead where possible (appreciate there is only so much they can do especially in current circs).
Doubt you'll hear anything back but well doneJust sent a quick email to EFC

..........not necessarily the most objective email I have ever composed, but maybe if more fans raise this issue directly with their own clubs then perhaps the social pressure could result in players making the right decision themselves. It would certainly help to re-establish football fans trust/respect in premier league players.
'Despite Gordon Taylor's recent statement regarding player's salaries there is a growing unrest amongst football supporters, and the public in general, as to how the players themselves should respond.
I firmly believe that unless all premier league players take the initiative and volunteer to donate a percentage of the salaries there will be a major public backlash against these players which won't be forgotten for a long time.
I had hoped EFC/EITC would lead the way and take a stand, regardless of the contractual implications. I can't imagine any premier league player would openly object to donating a percentage of his multi-million pound salary to help the country in this time of need.
Hopefully, common sense will prevail and EFC can show the rest of the premier league how a 'Peoples Club' should have a social conscience.
