Not doing anything at all in the transfer window, when we were only 1 result off the European places, is a total lack of vision and ambition.

Why wait till the summer when there's no guarantee it will be any easier then.
I understand that January isn't "ideal", but our squad was so in need of bodies last summer that "ideal" was never the standard to begin with. Why else did we keep Michael Keane? So surely there is a right or left back out there? We were told we needed multiple windows - which we did and do - yet here we are apparently inactive in this window. Again, mitigating factors meant last January's window was a non-event, but this is window number three. We've only used one so far. That's either extemely prudent or a lack of ambition. Whichever way you fall now, the summer will be definitive on the Friedkins. We'll know exactly where we stand with them.

For me our present owners are remote, unknown and far far away from EFC. I can't name one and as far as I know I have never posted on this thread before. Aside from that I have said elsewhere that I am glad we are not presently in Europe as our squad is totally inadequate. However watching European highlights from last night, especially that goal by Benfica's goalie against Madrid, forced me to appreciate there is another world outside the Premier league. So I really hope our owners have the target of investing large amounts of money in our club. Having said that, there is no way I would pay to to watch Everton in loads more matches each season. Good luck to those who could or would go.
61,000 of our dear friends at analfield last night watching a 6 -0 walkover against rubbish European opposition. I find that ruly amazing.

We don't have to wait for the summer...they have clearly prioritised roma and have very little intention to be ambitious at everton. It seems that their priority right now is maximising profits from the new stadium, whilst spending little to nothing in the squad. As long as we keep filling up the stadium and spending our money in merchandising, there is no urgency to strengthen the squad. Hopefully I am wrong, but we will quickly find out in the coming days.

Do these guys seriously plan to improve and progress the club, or are they here to do a Mike Ashley at Newcastle type of job ie just keep us ticking along as a midtable premier league outfit and then sell us on for a profit?

I think whatever happens or doesn't happen this summer will reveal a lot. The jury very much is still out for me on these guys.

They should at the very least have been to a game. Probably the first home game. Very strange that they haven’t.

Distinct lack of ambition whilst European qualification is on offer.

I personally think they should communicate more than they do…

They have said they will be investing in our Crypto to win a change to attend one of our games and other great prizes like doughnuts.

What does communication mean?

“Hi, it’s Dan here. Just to let you know, we really tried to buy a pacey winger in the summer but couldn’t quite manage it.”

“Hi, it’s Dan here. We need a new right back don’t we. Unfortunately we had to replace 15 players in the summer and couldn’t quite manage it this time. However, we are here for the long term and will try and get a new one before we sell the company on.”

I couldn’t care less about whether the owner turns up or tells us things. I just want to watch us win (I can live without exciting football too)

Crypto is a sketchy and exploitative venture ,so I'm not keen on Everton advertising the coin , I did discover Everton crypto has existed since 2021 so it's not a Friedkin invention, still needs to be discontinued

Yep fair point. They can go Jan is poor good deals.

However another window in the summer that doesn't address major issues will have people really questioning is Roma their priority.
