I just find it wild to give credit to the previous owner for managing to find a loan shark to prop up his own business failings. The points deductions, the failing to comply with financial regulations, the hundreds of millions wasted on poor players and managers are all down to him.

These current owners may not be setting the world alight but they've cleaned up the biggest financial mess in our clubs history. They have much more to do to be considered good owners though.
Ok I'm not giving him props, just wanted to acknowledge what he did. Awful owner who came damn close to liquidating us.

They bought it a manager who they thought would stand the best chance of protecting their asset from relegation AND starting the rebuild.

That was Moyes ( at that time )

Sure. I didn't like him coming back at all, but I couldn't criticise the actual decision that much given the mess Dyche left us in.

However, my main point is for this rebuild. For the first season in the new stadium. You want to get the fanbase behind you. You don't do that with Moyes as much as those who are excited to have him back, might wish it were so

I still optimistically believe we are finally ready for patience. Just not with this guy. The number of posters who have flipped in just a few weeks despite Moyes not really doing too much different than he usually does....it was always too prone to this instability

1 point more than the last two seasons when many teams are failing isn't improvement for me. If you think 13th this season is better than 13th last season that's up to you
But that's on the field Joe, we were about to not even exist as a club 2 years ago under Moshiri. They gave Moyes funds for players he hasn't utilized. We are stable financially now. Thats a huge improvement.

Any competent owner could have resolved the finances. We have a massive fan base and one of the best stadiums in the richest league in the world. Time will tell but I think we deserve better than an ownership who prioritise another club and are happy for us just to stay up.

They’re just the invisible bits though aren’t they?

I think most would agree that they have made improvements which the club desparately needed. They have stabilised the finances, remortgaging long term to reduce the day to day impact of the new stadium costs on finances. They appear to be securing more lucrative financial contracts etc so off the field improvements have been made.

Just need that to filter through to on field performances and results.

Yes, any competent owner could have. That makes them better than Moshiri, and makes their improvement of the club better than zero. Yes we deserve better. It's like talking to a plank of wood.

They're important though. Dare I stay the word stability *ducks*. They have much more work to do though, starting with making brave decisions about our future management.

Two early cup exits followed by ending up in 13th place in the league when Europe was looking promising at one point.

If Moyes is still here for next season, that will be proof indeed that this crowd we currently have running the club are only interested in just merely staying up in the Premier League every year and nothing more than that imo.

Completely important. Without them nothing else happens really. I have no doubt of the financial clout and business acumen being used by them to monetise our club.

Just need it shown on pitch now obviously….thats the part I have doubts about but we’re still relatively early in their custodianship of the club.
