They’re billionaire Americans; Rome is one of the world’s premiere cities, and the weather is much more agreeable.

Winning a cup or league title in Serie A is more achievable than doing so in the Premier League.

It does make me laugh when people act as if mainland Europe is like a tropical paradise. Good weather in Rome is better than good weather here, it still gets cold and rains loads though, it’s only like 2 hours away!

I’m aware that mainland Europe is not a tropical paradise, but the fact remains that Rome has less rain, higher average temperatures, and more sunny days than Liverpool.

Sorry I wasn’t having a go, just saying the weather isn’t going to be the reason they go there and not here, it’s not that different. We’re talking about them being here for 24 hours, I’m not sure that they’re really looking at it saying ‘well there’s a 45% chance of rain in Liverpool and only 30% in Rome, and it’s also 2 degrees colder, it’s a no brainer really’.

I think they'll start showing up when we have a season like what Roma are having right now tbh.

When takeover here was happening I remember the talk from Roma fans was that they will put money in but you'll never see them. They were midtable at the time.

Because whether we like it or not perceptions do matter to certain people and it will affect their opinions of the Friedkin's if they're perceived to not care about the club.

It all depends on whether you value or think it's important for the owners to show their faces around their club once in a while.

If we are winning and things are going well nobody is arsed about them, but it does become something to question if we aren't.

Small details yield large results.

Weather is the least compelling of the three reasons I put forward for them possibly favouring Roma above Everton, but people do generally prefer more sun and less rain, so it certainly won’t hurt.
