Fans that keep attending no matter what will always be last priority, why change anything?
As soon as people start drifting off thats when they will show up and give the false hope stuff .
At that point the facade is pointless.
Sadly that’s pretty much bang on, IMO. It’s extremely rare for fans of clubs anywhere near our size to vote with their feet, and when they do it’s typically over something pretty existential like ownerships driving them into administration and subsequent oblivion.

As regards our specific owners, I honestly don’t care as long as they support us financially in the Summer windows, make key appointments (and removals) with due consideration and drive us in a generally upward direction.

I think hate is a strong word. Financially they have stepped up but I think it is more than valid to question why neither of them have ever set foot here...maybe they are too busy checking out real estate in Greenland and Venezuala, who knows these days.

But tangibly, does it really matter?

Seeing them at the ground or not makes zero difference to the club. They still spent money when we asked.

It would reassure sections of support that we are being treated with a long term vision rather than simply for a quick turnaround and profit.

As long as they keep funding us and keep an active interest in managing the club there's no issues.

The fact that they weren't bothering to sack Dyche until Dyche came begging for it did give me some concerns about how actively involved with us they intend to be.

They’d only just walked through the doors when Dyche was going so can’t really have a go at them for wanting some time to assess.

They haven’t stopped putting money in since they arrived but you’re complaining about the lack of presence so the bold is a lie.

No I'm saying it isn't a tangible issue but it is a perception issue.

But why should perception matter if they’re doing the tangible things. We’re here to win football matches not like them because they love the city.
Because whether we like it or not perceptions do matter to certain people and it will affect their opinions of the Friedkin's if they're perceived to not care about the club.

It all depends on whether you value or think it's important for the owners to show their faces around their club once in a while.

If we are winning and things are going well nobody is arsed about them, but it does become something to question if we aren't.

Hey Kenwright always attended matches till his health issues and alienating himself from the fanbase prevented his presence and he was a mediocre steward who put minimal effort in running and investing in this club
Turning up to games doesn’t automatically make you a good owner, I don’t think anybody’s suggesting otherwise. That doesn’t change the fact that not turning up to games is going to colour people’s perceptions of you and your motives. Coming to the Leeds game wouldn’t make me think Friedkin is our saviour, but it would at least be a basic box ticked and show a vague level of interest. It’s an incredibly easy win for him and undoubtedly a PR failing not to have done it yet.

I get that it be perceived as poor optics as it could construed as a lack of engagement but for me it's superficial I'd rather the emphasis be provided by actions behind the scenes rather than some ceremonial act. Honestly this is me but I find it distracts from the club when owners come to lord over their property

So you only want to see them when things aren’t going well?
