Incorrect imo. I have heard, on a few different occasions, Moyes mention in interviews how much of a leader Neville is in training, always hungry, tries to get the best out the players etc. Moyes was intimating that Neville is "his mouthpiece on the field" as it were. If he is good enough for Moyes, he's good enough for me.


Against City however (having thought about it a bit more), I would put Hibbert at Right Back and Neville in the middle of a 5 man midfield, leaving Moyes with an extra midfield option (i.e. hibbert off, manny on, neville to RB?)

As a side note, I reckon Phil Neville will be a great manager when he retires from playing.

Roy Keane is a leader, Gerrard is a leader. Neville falls well short on both counts. Whoopee the lad can shout, pity he has got no footballing ability as for the managers job, well thats just ridiculous

Ol Pip probably a stand up guy but he has looked bloody awful the last few weeks. He needs a deserved rest. Let Hibbo have a go and let him get on the training ground and hone his passing. My Auntie Nora could pass the ball better than he can.

Im always being told how good he is at tackling and i agree he is a half decent tackler but the reason he has to make these tackles is his positional play is awfull, he can't read a game and is daydreaming for most of the match.

I read that he had petrov (man city) in his pocket, we was all but playing with two rightbacks that day.

Hibbert isnt good enough at least neville knows were to stand.

Harry are you talking about hibbert here?? is so your spot on. Me an a few of the lads at the match say this all the time. People say he great at the last ditch tackle. But thats because hes always getting done down the left. His positional play is the worst iv ever seen. And defending the ball from right to left is the biggest weekness we have in are whole team.

Yes sharpy, Hibbert, our centre backs are constantly being pulled across to cover him leaving us exposed in the middle or on the left as the left back has to cover the centre.

I don't think there's any doubt as to the quality of Keane as a leader although I still think he's got some growing and learning to do in that role when it comes to managment as would anyone.

But to say, with a straight face presumably, that Gerrard is some great leader on the pitch but Neville isn't? And by that, imply that Gerrard would make some sort of great manager whereas Neville would not. I really don't know where to begin.

You're comments may be as honest as the day is long but that doesn't mean that their correct. It seems I'm not the one with the problem here friend.

Who mentioned anything about Gerrard being a manager? Certainly not me. If you really cant see who out of the 2 is a leader on the pitch then you have serious problems my friend

He's had a few bad games this year. But in his defence he's always playing a different position. Maybe he's not good enough to be a starter but I wouldn't get rid of him. With all the young guys on the team I think we need him.
