Moyes says Europe is ON

No...

You accused myself AND Davek of speculating wildly, despite the fact that i said i don't agree with his point of view. I assumed what you were referring to was my criticism of his remarks made in the past few days. As i said, hardly 'speculating wildly'.

You're getting wound up here...non?

Hey, I believe we have the best Manager in the League, you think he's some kind of Capitalist Horror.

Who do you support again?

Wow, now you're just making things up out of thin air. I give up, impossible to have a debate with somebody who just puts words in your mouth.

Ummmm maybe he loves the club?

Wow such a far fetched notion.

I'm sure he does. But, let's say he stays here for another 10 years, with the same resources with similar results and then looks back on missed opportunities elsewhere and wonders what might have been ....

Basically, neither you, DaveK nor I what goes on in his head or what his reasons for sticking with us are. I wouldn't blame him if he walked away and tried his hand elsewhere. I hope he stays with us and we win something under him, but if he's staying because that's the easiest thing to do, then he's making the wrong decision.

This is where I ruffle your hair and say 'get out here you little scamp'

You make a sound point, and if we look at the trajectory of any career the notion is to keep climbing that ladder.

I can only say building a successful football team doesn't happen overnight. Fergie has built the most successful team in one of the most difficult leagues, but he did so, over ten years, with all the right ingredients in place at the right time.

Had, say three or four core World Class players come along at the same time as Rooney, we may have found ourselves in a much different position to one we are in now.

But at the very end of the day, we will beat anyone on our day, and are in a much better position footballing wise than we ever have been in the Modern era. And for that there is only one man to thank.

Instead of trying to be funny could you just stick to the topic ?
'kin hell Brennan., you should know better than that

This has been on topic for nearly 4 pages now. Until McB ruffled your hair it was on course to be third on the all-time "stayed on topic thread" lists until McB strayed. It's not beyond hope though. If McB deletes his post, you delete your response and I delete this one then no-one will be any the wiser.

*nods wisely

Don't disagree with any of that. Still think that, for his own sake, if he doesn't think he can progress here and move us on to a team challenging regularly for CL, he should look elsewhere. If he gets a job at a club with better financial resources and it doesn't work out, then at least he tried.

Without Moyes we would be relegated within 2 seasons tops

Imagine the players who would want away if Moyes wasent there, its HIS team which he built from top 2 bottom

True, yet I've always believed Moyes to be far more learned than the average Manager. His approach to the game sees him getting far more out of players that ordinary Managers. He makes mistakes tactically sometimes, but for every Cup Semi there's Super Sub Winner not too far away.

He knows his job here isn't done, and as being a Scot, he's a stubborn [Poor language removed]. He wants a Trophy, and he wants it here, not somewhere else. I respect that.

I just don't want to have to start all over again with someone new.
