well look at it another way, you've made it clear you're probably not a Moyes fan, and this guy obviously is

he's probably going to get enough stick just for that,

you're obviously an intelligent guy but picking on this fella for his sentence structure belies your intelligence mate

give him a chance eh ?

Mobile rep4that man. It's not a freakin tls forum we need to respec tha not evry toffee went eton (however some may be using mobile beneath dinner table). Free the sin tax ffs x

I do respect him.

He's done a lot for this club and just because I'd rather we had another manager now doesn't mean I'm not deeply grateful for the job he's done while here. Some of the best footballing nights of my life have been watching players and teams he's put together.

He's been a wonderful servant for the club. But he wouldn't get into a top 50 list of everton legends, such is our magnificent history.

See if teams so **** that they got relegated can win trophies surely we can too and it's not unreasonable to view that as a target.

Unless you're arguing we're a worse team then four sides in the lower leagus.

I'm with you that there are many, many bigger Everton legends but as someone who started following the Blues in '84 there are fewer in that time that have done more for the club, especially with the current custodians doing nothing to help.
Me personally I'd rather lose in the first round of every cup than get relegated.

Whether or not you think Moyes is doing a good job, you can't say he's better than Kendall, Catterick, Dean, Sheedy, Ball, Royle, Ratcliffe, Sharp, Reid, Labone and other genuine legends. You just can't.

Kendall turned us into the best team in europe on peanuts and that's an inferior job to Moyes turning us into the 7th best team in england on a similar budget, how?

I know what your saying, and yes you have an excellent argument with Kendall. Its just the fear Everton could go into free fall with their finances and i just do believe if it was not for Moyes we would be in the Championshipor first division.

Football isn't about not being relegated, mate. It's not about just doing enough to stay in the top flight. It's about glory and trophies and winning things.

Sunderland and Fulham can be happy with just being here but we're everton we want more than that.

I'm an electrician who left school at 18, mate.

Nowt personal mate, there seem to be a few of the newer members getting shot down via argument ad hominum at the moment when they have valid points to make/discuss.
And there's also Changy :)
Moyes is a ginger pud btw. Not that spicy, and a bit sloppy.

I'm beginning to wonder if some of these brand-new posters bigging up Moyes are club plants.
And a lot of us who don't think the sun shines out of Moyes' arse are not of that opinion primarily because of a lack of silverware (though that does grate), it's because of negative tactics, poor lineup choices and reactive (instead of proactive) substitutions that have seen us piss away points in recent years to teams we should have been wiping the floor with, even before Jelavic came here. The seemingly automatic rolling over for the ****e three times last term being the best example.
However, he does seem to be adopting a more attacking philosophy, so credit where credit is due. But I guarantee you, the first time he reverts to negative tactics against the likes of Wigan or QPR, he'll also deserve the criticism.

Can you give a reason we should be better than Chelsea, United, Spurs, City or Arsenal on our negative budget?
A reason we should be able to beat Ferguson who has spent vast sums of money on his squad and been there longer than Moyes?
Wenger who inheritted a world class team, spent huge money on wages it seems is apparently exposed to massive weaknesses that only Moyes should be able to see why?
Perhaps Manchini who hasn't been there long should be expected to roll over and take it from Moyes as a matter of course despite controlling a near half billion pound squad?
Combine just these to the spending of Chelsea and City and others and explain why you think that Moyes' Everton constantly depleted quad should be superior because we generally have to beat a few of the above at least to get aywhere in the cup?
I could understand if every year he could rightly believe he could improve us, but every year he loses players yet has to improve to stand still.. How can you say that 10 years of buying new players on no money except what he has had to make, finding each year we look a little bit stronger is not worthy of being paid the same as the likes of Mark Hughes or even nearly as much as KKKenny?
He's not my favorite Everton legend but he's a fking cracking manager and far and away the best thing to happen to us in many a year.
