Moyes is now my favourite Evertonian of all time

Whats happened to all the owen coyle beauts, mate? Only a few weeks ago you were the only moyes apologist left and fighting a losing battle and now the tables are flipped and I'm suddenly outnumbered.

Haha if this forum has mirrored the others then Coyle, Lambert, Holloway, Hughes (hello Staveros) & even Phil bleeding Brown a few years back, have all been lauded as 'better' alternatives to Moyes. Most of his detractors slide under their rock at the first sign of a decent run - so fair play for not hiding your viewpoint at present

It's not true though is it. Birmingham, Boro, Blackburn and Portsmouth all say hi.

Thats true but would you accept one trophy, for what happened to all of them afterwards. In my opinion champions league qualification is as good as a cup.
If you could only pick one would it be acup or champions league qualification?

It's not being pedantic to demand a sentence makes sense. You and me could guess what he was saying because it's an obvious retort but shorn of context you wouldn't have a clue.

well look at it another way, you've made it clear you're probably not a Moyes fan, and this guy obviously is

he's probably going to get enough stick just for that,

you're obviously an intelligent guy but picking on this fella for his sentence structure belies your intelligence mate

give him a chance eh ?

Whether or not you think Moyes is doing a good job, you can't say he's better than Kendall, Catterick, Dean, Sheedy, Ball, Royle, Ratcliffe, Sharp, Reid, Labone and other genuine legends. You just can't.

Kendall turned us into the best team in europe on peanuts and that's an inferior job to Moyes turning us into the 7th best team in england on a similar budget, how?

If we make it though to the group stages and use that money to turn us into a contender who then can win more trophies then the latter. But only as a means to an end.

Doing what we did and losing the play off game isn't any good to the club and will be forgotten long before any trophies wins.

Fair enough.

Teameverton I'm sorry, not needed to give you grief about that.

Moyes is in no way perfect, but for what he has done for this club he deserves the respect of every Evertonian. He came in at a time when the only way we where going was down and over time he has restored us to the top end of the league. If we had a board with any kind of ambition I'd fully expect him to win things and do so in the old School of Science way. I just hope that this season carries on the way it has started and he's not forced to look elsewhere.
I'd like to give him a hug and buy him a pint.

FFS. Had to put up with Moyes out threads literally every day this time last year, right the way up until January and now there are jarg Moyes lovers popping up all over the shop.

WHERE WERE YOU AFTER BOLTON AT HOME YOU BAD BANDWAGON JUMPERS!?!

I do respect him.

He's done a lot for this club and just because I'd rather we had another manager now doesn't mean I'm not deeply grateful for the job he's done while here. Some of the best footballing nights of my life have been watching players and teams he's put together.

He's been a wonderful servant for the club. But he wouldn't get into a top 50 list of everton legends, such is our magnificent history.

I may have missed the sarcasm font, but they say hi on the phone cause they won't be doing it at Goodison anytime soon.

See if teams so **** that they got relegated can win trophies surely we can too and it's not unreasonable to view that as a target.

Unless you're arguing we're a worse team then four sides in the lower leagus.
