Thanks mate. I'm actually a bit speechless.

What I will say is this, everyone's been getting frustrated at the silence from the new man, so he just thought he'd ring his mate Jim up for a quick chat, who works for TalkSport, live on air!

Lot's to discuss here.
Are you a believer or non believer ?

I am guessing he feels more relaxed talking to his friend JW than to the Everton TV guy. Still, odd to me that he communicates this way.

He said all the right things, checked a few boxes for us, but was very careful about not revealing too much. It is the non-disclosures that breed suspicion and speculation about his true plans. As has been said, actions will eventually speak louder than a thousand such interviews. Nevertheless, this was a welcome glimpse. Glad he did it. Hope he does more.

He did make some interesting comments on Koeman, though, particularly about him being ruthless. We have already seen how he is not afraid to drop players, the problem is, our squad offers very little competition for places. He can and should be ruthless, but it is evident he is struggling to deal a good hand from the cheap, half finished pack of cards at his disposal. Too many jokers and not enough aces. I am sure Moshiri will be getting lots of requests from him with regard to this in the coming months. The next two windows will be crucial.

isn't that just extending the bar though? By the end of next summer? Like giving Martinez until the end of the season just in case he turned the toxicity around?

Personally, the fact we sold to buy this summer spoke far louder than any talk sport interview.

to be fair, Koeman tends to get off after a couple of years so i would say he is highly dispensable ;)

Think it's just reasonable to give it a few windows at less rather than expecting instant change. And I think most like myself gave Martinez the best part of 3 years before we accepted it would never work out.
