I think with the TV deal, he has to do very little to appear to do massive amounts..
TV money cleared our debt, he didn't need to lift a finger
TV money will allow us to spend big money on players without spending a penny himself or adjusting our income, and still picking up a nice little earner for himself if that is what he is planning.
TV money will allow our manager to buy players he wants, dragging us up the league (kicking and screaming it seems currently) and making the club a far more enticing prospect for when he sells and makes a fortune.
TV money means that if Bill had just joined us instead of him, BK could of been seen as a chairman lobbing money around left right and centre without actually spending sod all. Its all about the timing.

BUT

Whatever the perceptions, whoever the chairman in charge and whatever the reasons, the bottom line is we will get new players, spend money and get better... so I don't care at all whether that money came from the new chairman or the masses buying pay per view games from sky... As long as we stay up, we will grow, the money coming makes it almost impossible not to so I am good with that:)

Long live... whoever is receiving the TV money cheque.... hope he makes some changes to our finances and brings in a couple more mil for sponsorship to add to the 120m average that a club will bring in.

Meh tbh it doesnt make much difference, you could break even in transfers and buy a stadium outright with that sort of income. Be interesting to see what actually happens with this wealth entering our club from now on.

Don't have strong feelings either way on this myself, but surely believing Everton will disappoint you regardless of who is involved is less of a leap than believing this is a time to rejoice?

Your last paragraph is just childish and dumb :)

Anybody have any idea on a maximum amount we might have to spend in January if we are to believe the situation as described by Moshiri? Assuming targets are available.
I disagree.

And if you are the type of person who just gonna wait and see then I'm with you, I'm not expecting the world either.

That is fine to say and probably correct but then on the otherhand why be so negative towards him? (i don't think you're the worst offender for this by the way) He has said we tried to get them spend the money that you and dave and others are looking for. Can't you empathise with the situation?
20 odd years off ineptitude and a lack of success breeds negativity.

Can I empathise with the situation? Well that's a tricky one, seeing as football clubs are all about money these days, and Mr Farhad's got a lot more of it than I have, then no I can't empathise with the situation.

He needs to empathise with mine.

I want to see my flipping Everton doing well and it's about time.

Cheers Ted

Of course we all do, but how many owners would you rather had instead? Blackburn, Fulham, Villa, Swansea and loads more, all have been taken over by wealth and have been or look to be run into the ground by the owners making silly decisions.

Moshiri seems far more level headed than all of those types and that is probably worth more than just spending at the end of the day.

The alternative would be for this very rich man to start investing in this squad.

Personally I dont care for his inexactitude (Sissoko/McCarthy contradiction), his boasting about dealing with early obstacles (he hasn't), his pointing the finger at managers past and present on Stones when he is the ultimate decision maker on major sales because of the FFP situation as it affects this club, or his choice of disseminating info/spin via a clown.
He said he tried to invest in the summer. Lets see what happens in January.

What about the glazers!?

Played the long game, got all the commercial deals in before Fergie goes and then since? The biggest club in the country are a laughing stock on the pitch but they're making money hand over fist so who are the real winners?

It's an interesting one to say the least. If it meant keeping hold of Barkley and Lukaku I wonder if fans would wear Goodison being renamed?

I cant think of any circumstances in which it'd be accepted.

How about Amazon Goodison Park, they can afford a few million?lol;)
