Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi all, sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I’ve been really busy looking after Kay. Just been to solicitors to sign off my Will and other legal stuff. I should really have done this years ago but better late than never. I am continuing with all the medication for my liver cirrhosis, sticking with the no alcohol rule, keeping to a very strict food intake policed by my son and daughter and have lost about 3 stone in weight. The doctor is very pleased with my progress and tests show I’m doing well. I still go to my pub each night for an hour or two and my staff take good care of me and of course only give me tea or water to drink. I bought all of them and a couple of customers boxes of chocolates as a thank you. I’ll try to post more and seeing pictures from Australia and Finland. Keep well guys….

Great to hear from you @peteblue but sad the tests are still ongoing .Well done on the weight loss and your willpower ,for all your children help it is you doing the real work .I hope Kay is as well as can be and you both manage a bit more settled time in the future . One benefit from us all getting older is we learn so many new illnesses ,sadly . Stay safe that man ,

I brought an elderly relative for that last week and they got an immediate all clear there and then. It’s not easy being unwell but at least you are in the system and being looked after.

The whole mentality of the club remains in the "we are the peoples club " culture ,full of nice guys and friends ,how much of this is at the most successful clubs ? Do City ,them ,Chelsea ,Arsenal or Utd have or want to have the backroom patting each other on the back for being nice guys ? No they use the players and then shift them on ,no buddies forever .This is centred around Moyes and the clown staff he chose ,we are absolutely inept at times .Although I think the second goal was unfair last night no one in their right mind would say we deserved anything from that game .We are being fed on scraps and until Moyes stops getting his tactics from the Fortune teller on Blackpool prom we will remain a side with no idea and no guts .On the aftermatch presser one reporter waxed on lyrically about Illi ,I thought he stunk most of the game and looked tired as did Gana . Jimmy Garner was superb when they were away in the Afcon and had lost his way when they came back ,I thought he done well with Tim ,last night he was back playing to his best but just him and KDH had any sort of game ,the rest were way below the standard .
I have supported Mykko and the two lads up front but last night I was aghast at their displays ,they are a measure of where we are in reality ,any team with those kinds of performances is never going to do well . It hurts typing this about the club I love but facts is facts as someone said .COYB .

I would have loved to wish everyone a good morning but it isn't really for us fans ,I do though hope all have a great day

I trust you have put things more into context as the day has gone on blue. I was so disappointed last night, red faced with frustration at us never taking an opportunity to step on. This morning, while still annoyed, I still see this year as one of progression and one that I would have given my right arm for a few short seasons ago. The stadium is complete, we are largely debt free and seem to be constructing the spine of a young team. (Yet more) patience required by us disciples but keep the faith brother.

Oh well alright ! It is just without being a miserable old git I feel time is not on my side for a long period of progression , I know he is not getting the best from these players because of his age or his stubborness/stupidity .I do understand it is far simpler to want than to achieve so yes I have cooled a little and I do accept our league postion et al gives cause for a little more glee than I had when I posted .
