Hi all 11pm in Perth. We've had a really special day at my niece's graduation. My brother and I are just settling in to watch the match. Hop you're all OK x
5-1 Looks like it would of been money well spent GMorning all, after a lovely sunrise now clouding over with more rain forecast, oh joy! Not much planned for today, we thought about going to see Posh v Wigan but they are charging full price and the thought of paying the best part of £50 for the privilege didn’t appeal. Would have listened to the totally biased commentary on our game but that’s now pay to listen and I’m not inclined to pay for that either, just call me Mrs Scrooge..
Hope all is well @jazzy and you are feeling much better.
Have a good day, all.![]()
Yes, seems we missed a belter. Typical!5-1 Looks like it would of been money well spent G

Fairport Convention, with Sandy Denny who wrote the lyrics, did a wonderful song imagining the final hours. of Mary, Queen of Scots.
We won, so no. Tbf, I only knew of the connection with Fotheringhay and Mary when I first heard the song many moons ago ; didn't want to make visit though, it's in the middle of bloody nowhere.@summerisle I posted the Fotheringhay link assuming that you hadn’t visited there which was a bit presumptuous of me. Sorry if you thought I was.

Hiya hope you are having a lovely time in aussieGood morning all. Yesterday was 34°C. Here's a small world story for you. When he first emigrated 20 years ago my brother made friends with a bloke from Widnes who had also recently emigrated. The two couples have been friends ever since. The friend's older sister was already living in Australia......she was in my class at school! Yesterday afternoon they came over for a barbecue so I met up with a classmate I haven't seen for 50 years. So much fun reminiscing.
