No need for apologies, I have to say my case disappearing would be the least of my worries.Apologies, I had forgotten that! I enjoy flying but the worst bit is waiting for your luggage to appear on the carousel. I have never lost a thing but each time I am convinced this is it, I’m here and my case is away off on its own.
You should never worry about flying Gwladys. It’s the taking off and landing you need to worry about. No need for apologies, I have to say my case disappearing would be the least of my worries.![]()

For that reason and whenever possible I only do cabin luggage. Packing for 3 weeks is an art formApologies, I had forgotten that! I tend to have a holiday in July and then an Everton game in August. I always appreciate the short flight time and ability to avoid checking in a bag as pure luxury. I used the love the same day Everton games, flying from Belfast. I didn’t even bring a coat for the summer games. For that reason and whenever possible I only do cabin luggage. My mate and I flew to Vilnius a few years ago via Amsterdam , we had enough time to make the connection despite the plane taxiing for ages, but our bags didn’t. We watched the empty carousel going around and burst out laughing at each other, our bags turned up later that night but my mate’s didn’t make it back to Manchester either when we came home.Apologies, I had forgotten that! The added pressure as well of having a connecting bus trip etc just adds to the overall drama of it allMy mate and I flew to Vilnius a few years ago via Amsterdam , we had enough time to make the connection despite the plane taxiing for ages, but our bags didn’t. I did a night school trip to Athens via Milan and our connecting flight was cancelled. We spent the night sleeping on the airport floor, I got stopped by a policeman with a gun when I went through the wrong door and we got our stuff the day before we came home. Is there any significance to the dolls?Morning all, another wet and miserable morning. Went to the cathedral yesterday to find the entries in the Book of Remembrance for my great uncles who fell in WW1. My Nan lost two brothers and my Grandad his elder brother. Entries found and photographs taken we wandered around, I never tire of visiting there. Here’s a picture of the tomb of Katharine of Aragon. Have a good day, all.

Other than them being Henry and his six wives I couldn’t see any. I thought they were a bit out of place really considering that one of the dolls represents Anne Boleyn for whom Katharine was cast aside. Is there any significance to the dolls?
I’m stupid, I didn’t even realise they were Henry and his wivesOther than them being Henry and his six wives I couldn’t see any. I thought they were a bit out of place really considering that one of the dolls represents Anne Boleyn for whom Katharine was cast aside.

Well that caused me to take a closer second look, once you realise that’s Henry on the end it’s obvious , and I’m assuming the colour of their clothing represents something too , but it’s beyond me! I didn’t even know Katherine of Aragon was buried in Peterborough Cathedral so looked it up , it seems she was a prisoner/ isolated in nearby Kimbolton Castle where she died. I quite like diverting off into odd things like this, so thank youOther than them being Henry and his six wives I couldn’t see any.
