I feel sorry for McNeil being messed around like that. He needs a move certainly but that was a public embarrassment for all concerned.

I feel sorry for him too, and his partner. What’s clear is that they have been through the mill in recent years especially with her health issues, and no matter how much money you earn or how privileged others consider their lives to be, there’s a breaking point for everyone and it seems she hit it last night, poor woman. I wish them both nothing but peace of mind and hope he can crack on and find some form soon if he is to stay at Everton. Empathy is a missing trait for many people sadly.

Morning all , I’ve a 130 mile round trip into snow showers ahead of me to get to a “ Back consultant “ in Aberdeen, hopefully it doesn’t get too bad

Thanks both, back ok , snow on the hills, sleet and some showers but roads were ok . Consultant is going to book me in for a MRI and standing XRay

Very strange behaviour of Palace to just drop out of the deal and not tell him. It’s definitely unprofessional and for me it’s also cruel.

Yes it looked like Palace wanted him for 10mill and weren’t prepared to pay the 20 million, apparently they didn’t answer the phone for the last hour or so of the deadline, very unprofessional on their behalf

Ive met my great nephew who is 15 months old and we're about to go out for tea to celebrate my brother's birthday.

Good to know you have arrived safe and sound. Those long hall flights aren’t for me but curious to know what the food was like? I am now accustomed to the EasyJet or Jet2 onboard menus only

The 5 hour flight to the Canary Islands is my upper limit I think. Anj is made of sterner stuff than us Gwladys.

Evening everyone, I’ve had a lovely day today with my granddaughter- we took her to the pictures for the first time to watch Room on the Broom and the Highway Rat . She managed it so well but halfway through she fell asleep on my knee and when I turned to tell my husband he was asleep too. It’s a good job one of us has staying power.
Now I’m on the verge of going to sleep myself as I’m shattered and need to be up at 5.45 to do it all again.
Hope everyone is ok - that is one heck of a flight @anjelikaferrett but it must be so worth it. When is the graduation x

The food was OK- if you like chicken and rice which was served on both flights regardless of time. Although we booked the long haul through Qatar Airlines, the first leg from Heathrow was a British Airways flight. Wooden cutlery and paper napkins. The second leg from Doha was a Qatar flight - proper cutlery and napkins. Also a very acceptable chocolate mousse after the chicken and rice. BA offered apple crumble.
