Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all (well it's morning here!) We had a lovely day yesterday. It was my brother's birthday so after giving us a tour of the local area we went out for tea to celebrate. The graduation is on Saturday. My oldest niece who lives in the north of Western Australia is flying in today. Had she driven, it would have taken 18 hours! I cannot get my head around the fact that you can drive for 18 hours and still be in the same state, never mind the same country! I'm picking up our hire car today so that will be good.
Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all on this fine day ,I hope all are well and @anjelikaferrett 's rear is not flat anymore ,my longest flight was 13 hours one flight and it was terrible it made us decide that despite all the wonderful snorkeling sites Egypt was the place for us at around six hours and then a coach ride over the rubbish for two hours ,I have never seen rubbish dumped everywhere as it is near Hurghada ,when I say near well for two hours drive all the way . I am sure you could build a house from the stuff .
The Dwight debate rolls on ,I watched talksport yesterday about it .Have a great day all .COYB

Not a chance would I enter the water around Hurghada- way too many big sharks around. Too many tourists aren’t aware at how quickly that area becomes open sea and all that comes with it.

The food was OK- if you like chicken and rice🤣 which was served on both flights regardless of time. Although we booked the long haul through Qatar Airlines, the first leg from Heathrow was a British Airways flight. Wooden cutlery and paper napkins. The second leg from Doha was a Qatar flight - proper cutlery and napkins. Also a very acceptable chocolate mousse after the chicken and rice. BA offered apple crumble.
I think I will stick to my EasyJet breakfast sandwich thank you very much 😀

Enjoy Anj, I’ve always wanted to exp.ore Australia, but only ever managed a 2 hour stop off in Sydney airport on the way to New Zealand.

We follow a YouTube channel Just Deano, he flew to China with his daughter. They served beef porridge for breakfast 🤢

I quite enjoy longer plane flights, it’s often the airport hassle at both ends which sours the shorter flights for me . Oddly enough, every long flight I’ve been on , Japan, NZ, USA mainly, I’ve been travelling on my own to meet up with people so I could chose to do what I wanted, read, listen to music, watch a film etc and the journeys soon passed. An aisle seat and regular walks up and down the plane helped.
