Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, I’m still thawing out after watching a Highland League 0-0 draw last night. Imagine a worse first half than Tuesday, a clogging , wet pitch to hold up the ball , two teams who couldn’t score and throw in frequent snow showers and cold winds. My mate said “ You’re looking at your watch a lot tonight “ as I constantly wondered how long I still had to suffer. People were even asking the Lino “ How long to go?” way before the end. Victoria Park is becoming like HDS only colder 😕

Morning all,
Off to Hannah’s school later. She and three friends are performing a song in the Valentine show. I wanna be yours by the Arctic Monkeys, nothing like the songs performed at my school concerts which consisted of opera and folk songs - The Swinging Sixties never quite reached the County Grammar🤣
Hope all goes well @peteblue, will think of you. Hope you thaw out soon @blueloon, that is some dedication to the cause.
Have a good day, all.💙

Thanks H. How did you know they're my favourite band.😀

You know I still consider myself middle aged but it isn't too long ago I'd have qualified for my OAP today.
It was obvious from the moment I saw the poppets.😂
You aren’t middle-aged more of a Spring Chicken, I still consider myself in my twenties until I try to climb stairs or look in the mirror that is. 🤣

Oh well alright ! It is just without being a miserable old git I feel time is not on my side for a long period of progression , I know he is not getting the best from these players because of his age or his stubborness/stupidity .I do understand it is far simpler to want than to achieve so yes I have cooled a little and I do accept our league postion et al gives cause for a little more glee than I had when I posted .
Glee might be too strong a word for our lofty mid table showing but I like your cheery outlook. I do of course get your point around writing off more time as a period of transition but rather that than be in financial oblivion down the leagues. It’s frightening to think how close we game to potential liquidation and I will always be grateful to Doucs for THAT goal.

I see Ireland is to introduce a basic income for 2000 artists every year. £280 per week for those creative types lucky enough to be selected. A marvellous idea to give talented people an opportunity to focus on honing their skills. The arts are always first to suffer under cuts and it’s good to see Ireland be a world first in redressing this damage.

Happy birthday Fred

In the hospital I’ve been really short of breath lately, came to Emergency had a cat scan they found 2 big blood clots on my lungs, on blood thinners going to be in for a few days, as I have to be in a hospital bed for 48 hours no getting up

But I’m in the right place

Probably from the surgery and UK flights
Bloody hell Duc. Not been in the thread for a few weeks so behind on the news. Hope you get sorted mate.
