I was watching your exploits with interest as I was planning a visit in March , including the Chelsea game . My cousin in Australia was coming over and with his brother who lives in Liverpool they were coming up by train to visit us for 4 days. I had plans to fly to Manchester, see my sister who’s in a care home there , scoot over to Liverpool for the match and a few nights , travel back up here by train with them .

Sadly on Saturday I got a call saying it was all off. The UK government have changed the rules that allow Australians/ dual nationalities into the country . This for my cousin either means renouncing British citizenship , paying £500 for a certificate of entitlement or renewing his British passport which has lapsed and would be unlikely to come through in time. Very disappointing, he’s now planning on coming over in August , so HD will have to wait a bit longer.

Been a bit busy recently.

I've taken advantage of the mild winter weather to alter a section of the garden and undertake some hard landscaping.

I ripped up a grass path linking the main lawn to the rest of the garden and planted it with a large acer , pitisphorum and rhodededron that I moved from elsewhere. That was reasonably easy although the mature acer was a toughie to dig out .

Then I created a path using York stone and setts and boy was that bloody hard work. Finished it yesterday and my back is now killing me 😂.

Looking forward to tonight's game with some trepidation. Whenever we have a chance to make a major leap forward in the table we seem to bottle it. Come on Moyes be brave for once.

Good morning all on this fine day ,I hope all are well and had a good night's rest ,surprisingly I did after that debacle .
It puzzles me how some can say well he got it right with the subs ,surely that means he messed it up with the team he picked ! If Dwight plays for us again it will and can only be "that he trained well " if ever there is a saying I cannot get to grips with it is that ,anyway a point depite moyes was gained .Have a great day all COYB
 
Hi folks - today's the day. Get Things Sorted For Australia Day. I'm going to Darl8ngton very shortly - nails, eyebrows, toiletries, money and cards. Lots of cards. Ive decided to take all their birthday cards in one go and a congratulations card for my niece who is graduating. Im so proud of her- she has been doing a midwifery degree and has done really well.
It is pouring here - not a day to be going out but two of my friends who live up near the A66 - Barnard Castle/Brough area have messaged me to say they have got heavy snow.

PS Bring Carlo back after the World Cup.🤣

My God what did we witness in the first half last night. We made Leeds look like Real Madrid.

BMD has already seen some terrible stuff but that was the most turgid 45 minutes ever when you consider it was against Leeds for God's sake.

Just get to 40points and take the gold watch and enjoy your retirement David .

Hope y'all have a better start to the day that me. Went over to find 2 completely burnt pies and a smoke filled kitchen in mum's this morning. First and last time she will do that. To make it worse she insists that I told her to put the pies on at 4 o'clock.

Hope your day has improved. My Mum had trouble keeping track of time, she would insist it was tea time despite only having had her dinner an hour before. My brother bought her a clock with large numbers and put labels on it, dinner, tea etc. made no difference. She was insistent we were lying to her.

I didn’t realise things like that are in place - I’m quite surprised tbh, it must be very disappointing for you all.
