Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Only 5 phials today and a wonderful nurse ,I hardly felt a thing .
I would gladly post these to you if you can't get them ,they are rubber with spikes and fit over your shoes :-View attachment 339045
That’s so kind of you, but I’ve had a look and they are available on Amazon so I’ll get some ordered. Glad the blood test went well.

Yeah been watching Braiden Graham progress through the u18s to the U21s , scoring goals regularly . Hes a very talented player , the best of our 2nd year Scholars . I wrote this in response to another post :” He’s not not a striker though , he would never be on the bench with the view to replacing Barry/Beto and lead the forward line as a lone striker like they do “ . He will hopefully fill out a bit more , and will likely play as a 10 or 2nd striker alongside a bigger. No9 . He often plays with 11 on his shirt and out wide on the left, cutting in, or getting into the box to score but he doesn’t appear to have the out and out pace to operate on the wing .The kind of goalscoring talent you’d hope we can find a spot for if he continues to develop.
You have to find a way to get a goal scorer into your team. A number 10 doesn’t need pace and it would be wonderful to produce one from our own academy. Safe to say that Graham has a bright future in the game even if it doesn’t work out at the mighty Blues.

Is there such a thing as a swearing ban? If so the people who sit behind me should get one. Don’t get me wrong - and it may surprise people 😂 - but I have been known to use the occasional profanity when it was felt necessary or out of exasperation. However the people behind me all through the match from start to finish are shouting down my ear a non stop commentary of which player should be doing what, and that Everton are a load of ****, and he’s a f****** c *** or a useless f****** t***, and it’s just relentless. One comment today towards a woman with 2 kids who turned around was - if you don’t like swearing you should go in the f***** family enclosure. I’m certainly no prude and expect a level of this nowadays but honestly.
I’m thinking of taking earplugs next time.
I don’t think those men would be quite so brave telling another man to ‘Koff to the family enclosure. The swearing doesn’t annoy me as much as the lack of respect shown to that woman and her kids.

Sadly those words are becoming less "swear " and more common ,along with other things our language is suffering wordly and grammatically . You only need see the new words each year in the Oxford dictionary to see it crumble into ashes .

Good morning all on this fine dark one here ,I hope all are well and had a good restful 8 hours . Nothing much going on which is a pain because I picked up the new snow blower and I am blowed if I understand the setting up directions ,they would put Ikea to shame .I have reverted to seeing how the old one is set up in a hope of using all the bolts nuts and wires ! It was also -20 ° so I couldn'r be out there with no gloves for more than two hour stretches .
Have a great day all .COYB

Morning everyone.

Set off at 6.30am with temperature of -5 to drive to snowy and frozen Colne on the East Lancs / West Yorks border to get my car fixed.

Absolutely horrible journey but got here and now have a 4 hour wait I'd a cold and drafty car showroom whilst the problem is fixed.

Modern cars and computer software have a lot to answer for.

En route I get yet another phone call from the alarm company telling me mum's had a fall . Fortunately carer was with her and yet again it was a false alarm. Honestly I'm going to throw that bloody alarm pendant away.

Colne is blanketed in snow so at least it looks much better than normal.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone

I'm having a long wait too. My flight has been delayed so been sitting here wasting my phone battery for close to 3 hours now. At least the plane is finally en route from Manchester now so hopefully just another hour or so to wait. Just hope the trains are running OK when we land.

Also experienced my first freeze down here in about 3 years this morning. The lid on my wheelie bin was frozen shut.😀

Hello everybody. I hope all our travellers and those waiting for stuff have arrived safely and got what they needed. Tiramisu pannetone sounds good. I find pannetone incredibly boring- not living up to the hype at all.
I notified Mr F today that I was indulging in my birthday present that he had no idea he had bought me🤣. Bannatynes have a spa treatment sale on so I went for a Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage. An hour that varied between absolute bliss and OMG that hurt. I did enjoy it very much. It's the first time I've been out for days - a combination of freezing cold, snow and Granny duties has kept me firmly indoors. I am looking forward to my trip to the match on Saturday though. Hopefully a win this time! It is also the first time Chris and I have been to a match together for ages which is making it a bit more special.
In other news the highlight of my day was changing the bed sheets - not that this is a rare event- but I love the first night's sleep in clean sheets. In fact if I ever won the lottery I would arrange for someone to come in and change my sheets every day. That, and never cook an evening meal again! I haven't quite decided if that would involve going out every night or get a chef. All totally hypothetical because I hardly ever do the lottery.
Have a good night all x

What is it about fresh sheets that we all love ? Is it the soap smell /fragrance or do they just feel different . We have different colours Dark green ,Wine and of course Blue amongst them so I wonder is it that ? I don't want to make your mind up for you but your own chef would be very nice especially if he can change the sheets while the meal is in the oven .

Good morning all on this white one here ,I hope all are as well as can be and had a wonderful sleep.
I solved the mystery of the cables and the blower is working albeit with only one reverse gear ! I am quite sure that is just an adjustment and no problem as I tend to pull it back rather than spend the time changing gears ,I must say it is day and night from the old one it keeps a constant engine speed and throws the snow much further -upto 15 metres -sorry girls it is a little boy thing and of no special value ,as long as it clears the side of the road it is enough .I suppose it is 25 years of development with wear and tear on the old one that makes a marked difference along with not having to pull the cord 50 or more times with all my might .
I don't know what to expect tonight after the presser because Moyes said he only put two strikers on out of desperation and we know he doesn't do that well .He doesn't seem to care if a different set up works as in this case and the last back 4 ,he just wants what he wants and that is that. I wonder about Jarrad as he is out for such a long time ,I didn't think anyone shone last game although Harrison looked good when he came on ,I don't think he will start unless someone else is out .
Here is to hoping we start a good run tonight . COYB
