Good evening all. It's been lovely having them all but our last visitors went home this afternoon and Mr F and I are enjoying the peace and quiet. We've had a drink, ate some chocolates and are now watching the telly. We did have fun though - a lovely noisy, chaotic family dinner on Boxing Day, board games and beer afterwards, leftovers all day yesterday and lunch out today. It's a pity Everton couldn't win for us but on we go - hopefully 3 points against Forest.

Good morning all on this miserable on here ,I feel like I am threatening for a cold which would be only the second since before covid ,the first was when I got back from the "Two go mad in Cornwall " trip . We will se as the wife has pumped me full of echinacea ,vitamin c and painkillers .

I love York. Daughter and her family are there for a short break too. I received a FaceTime call at 10.30 yesterday evening from Jess to show me the wand she bought in the Harry Potter shop. An overpriced stick if you ask me, I’ve loads in the garden I could have sold her if she’d only asked.Afternoon all from lovely York. Decided to have a little break away last night as we are babysitting on NYE, and we needed cheering up after yesterday’s performance. I’d forgotten how nice York is.

The highlight of my local footballing year was when our defender Harry Noble scored a brilliant goal , came running over to us and I was able to shout “ You’re a Wizard Harry “I love York. Interestingly I was interested in a turntable which Clearaudio built for Naim called a
Solstice but at over £20k it was a bit too rich for me

Good morning all and what a bitterly cold one it is. Another match day arrives but the optimism levels across GOT has definitely dropped since the last time we played Forest. For me, we are severely hampered with unavailability, and limited players, but the Dyche effect levels a lot of that disadvantage. A draw would be a solid result and one I would welcome.
