Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on the white one here ,no cold is the order of the day which is nice .
I hope all are well and had a good night's sleep . With trepidation I await the game this evening as I feel we are on the verge of an implode ,I am clinging to the fact that TFG brought in Lucaku for Roma and they might do something similar next week .
This idea that if you don't concede you can't lose reversed is the way we are at the moment ,we will hold little fear for them tonight .
Have a great day all COYB

Good morning all and what a bitterly cold one it is. Another match day arrives but the optimism levels across GOT has definitely dropped since the last time we played Forest. For me, we are severely hampered with unavailability, and limited players, but the Dyche effect levels a lot of that disadvantage. A draw would be a solid result and one I would welcome.
We are so boring to watch though AT.
Without Grealish , N'dayie and KDH we have zero goal threat.
Even with them we are the 2nd lowest scorers in the division.

Wasn’t that just fantastic all around last night! Stellar performances all over the pitch with Jimmy Garner the pick of the bunch. Even sweeter to take the spoils at a horrible club like Forest.

Ice has once again scuppered my morning constitutional so nothing else for it but coffee and Match of the Day.

In a totally random anecdote, I read an article yesterday about licensing for exotic animals in Ireland. In the North of Ireland, there are 56 animals held by 13 people. Included in this haul are 2 Diamond backed rattlesnakes in Co Armagh and a King Cobra in Co Down!! Just why allow that never mind want to own such deadly creatures!!??!!

I used to breed and show exotic birds with the emphasis on breeding as they won't breed if they are not well looked after ,now I abhor the idea of caging wild animals .On your point is it the fear or the mastery that ignites the people ?
I hope the coffee is as good as MOTD .

You don’t master those types of snake though if they must be securely contained at all times. Nor would you be handling them either. I can only assume it’s the thrill of telling people that you own a deadly viper. The article referenced 2 Green Mambas that someone had been keeping in a terraced house until they realised they weren’t equipped to do so. The reptile expert posed the question of what would have happened had they escaped through the attic space and potentially popped up in a house down the row 😱

*this is not what I needed to read on the day I was putting my Christmas decorations back into the attic.

Morning all. For me it’s last minute final preparations for the “ Sair Heidie” 4 1/2 mile charity fun run I organise on 1st January ie tomorrow! Yesterday was mainly spent fixing arrow/ caution runners signs to stakes that I’ll put out out on the route at 8 am tomorrow, getting drinks, food, race sheets etc ticked off . The weather is looking a bit grim with a Yellow snow/ice warning for us. Rain/ snow in the air and high winds they can handle but I’m hoping the ice and snow doesn’t take affect until later 🤞

When I was a little girl, a pet shop owner in Wigan had a puma and used to walk it near where I lived as if it was a dog. When I told my son about this he laughed at me and absolutely didn’t believe it. Thanks to the power of social media I was able to prove it really happened. Can you imagine this these days

Morning everyone- what a great morning to be a blue. So much potential realised and showing in that team last night - I honestly never thought we’d get all 3 points.
Our NYE babysitting plans may be scuppered as our dil felt like she was coming down with some kind of lurgy last night and as I have to go into hospital for a day next week to have a little op (nothing serious just a little lump removed) I can’t risk catching it, plus she’s not going to go out anyway if she feels meh.
Our York jaunt was a new year celebration of sorts so I don’t feel hard done by at all, and hope everyone on here enjoys their new year in whatever way you choose to spend it 💙
