I'm so happy. Out of office on until October 13th. Got everything done that I needed to as well. There is nothing outstanding. Hair appointment Thursday, nails done Friday. Might have a beer tonight.
The only thing we have to get past is a negative COVID test on Saturday.
I agree with you @Barnfred 55 there's definitely a link with heading and dementia in old footballers. The balls were really heavy compared to now and if they were wet they weighed a ton.

I think I've seen Jupiter a few times this week when I've let the cat out at 4.30 am or thereabouts. There's definitely one very bright object in the sky.
I see Allan has gone. I liked him. He seemed like a nice person too but I couldn't see how he was going to get a place in the team. Also Jordan Pickford appears to have cemented his place in the England team without even having to play!

Clear here so Jupiter is visible this evening. Hannah‘s telescope isn’t quite powerful enough to show the stripes but she’s still very pleased because she was able to see two of the moons.

Good morning all ,we managed to see Jupiter in some of its glory thro binocs .It never ceases to amaze me how many stars you can see on a clear night ,it is awe inspiring .I hope all had a great night and have an even better day today .
After watching England's highlights it makes you think how long before Southgate is hounded out .

We watched some UK news last night and it once again struck me how gullible people are .Starmer has a plan to make Great Britain Energy co. ???
Where exactly is the money going to come from ? Also he going to create 17,000 new health worker jobs ? where is that money coming from ? I know the people who are on their arses now paying for the high energy prices .Oh and they had time to criticise the new chancellors borrowing !!!!

Mark my words if they get in ,within months they will courteously explain that the country is in a far worse state than they realised and there will be no money available for said plans .
I could cry laughing at the antics .

We'll have to agree to disagree on this blue. After 12 years of the current Govt the country is on its arse. The rich have got richer and the poor have got poorer. Food banks have been completely normalised. It is outrageous. That mini budget last Friday was entirely aimed at the rich and the £ has tanked. Reinstate the 45% tax band and make corporate giants pay their tax - not more tax just the amount they should. Where do you think the money for last Friday's budget will come from? More cuts to public services. Taking away from those who need it most. I'm all for re nationalisation of utilities and transport. It's a joke that other European government shares in our railways and are using the money they get to improve the quality of life for their citizens.

I will remember. Not sure what the WiFi situation will be like. I think I read it was 5€ a day on the ship. I'm far too tight to pay that! And of course because of Brexit there's no free roaming anymore. I might have to bombard you all when I get back!

This got is morally bankrupt and if they continue unchecked the country soon will be.
The notion that making the rich richer and that that eventually makes the poor better off is for the birds. Bidens comments on Trusseconomics and trickle down were both scathing and accurate.
I'd be surprised if she even nmakes the next election.
I'm sorry @blue1948 but , presumably because you have been away so long ,you are not au fait with the reality of how bleak it is in Britain under the Tories and post Brexit.

Morning all. I don't care for politics or politicians, never changes anything the colour of the party flag, they're all full of it and people like myself suffer while the rich get richer. I guarantee rich people will have heating on this winter and won't be using food banks.

I wish there was a way to change the way the world is governed. We let the elite few rule the majority and something has to change to make it fairer. Look at Russia, it's outrageous that one man can have so much power over peoples lives. Makes me sad the state of the world.

I don't think the elite ruling classes realise that if wealth was more evenly distributed crime wouldn't be as high, prisons wouldn't be as full. People would be happier, imagine that.

Enough of that, just my 2p worth. Been out exploring again today, found a few new routes and strangely ended up at the nature trail from a completely different direction. I let Daisy lead, normally we head towards my sisters or nieces when she does lol we had a good mooch around some streets today.

No need to feel ashamed and don‘t worry about people judging you, they don’t know you and their opinion means nothing. Like @Vegas Toffee Girl I gave up work when I had my children, intending to return when they were at school. Severe migraine prevented this as no one was prepared to employ me in the knowledge that I would be off sick on a regular basis. I was often told “Oh how lucky you are, I wish I could afford to give up work!”, drove me mad I always wanted to say “Bet you wouldn’t put up with the headaches though”. My headaches did ease which is one advantage in getting older.
