Hi gang,
So the weather played nice today , well it didn't rain( until we got back to the Hotel). Wanted to go to Amalfi coast by boat but all boats from Sorrento cancelled due to the bad weather, so we got a very busy bus to Positano. Had a little expl and then got a boat to Amalfi ( no chance they would go back to Sorrento). Nice pizza and beer in Amalfi before a 2 hour bus ride back to Sorrento costing the princely sum of 3 euros.

That is exactly my thought process mate. Dont need to move, dont want to move, but when things feel right, I will do.
I'm so happy. Out of office on until October 13th. Got everything done that I needed to as well. There is nothing outstanding. Hair appointment Thursday, nails done Friday. Might have a beer tonight.
The only thing we have to get past is a negative COVID test on Saturday.
I agree with you @Barnfred 55 there's definitely a link with heading and dementia in old footballers. The balls were really heavy compared to now and if they were wet they weighed a ton.

I think I've seen Jupiter a few times this week when I've let the cat out at 4.30 am or thereabouts. There's definitely one very bright object in the sky.
I see Allan has gone. I liked him. He seemed like a nice person too but I couldn't see how he was going to get a place in the team. Also Jordan Pickford appears to have cemented his place in the England team without even having to play!

Yep.. the difference between August and September has been unreal… the days even in winter can be early 20’s.. although below freezing in the early morning… but this heat !! It’s like someone turned the oven on.. the high has jumped like 12 degrees when we hit September !

Went on a boat trip to Positano when we called into Salerno on a cruise a few years back Jazz. But all we saw was the jetty because we had to jump back on the next boat going back to Salerno as there was a chance we may have missed the ship had we got the later one back. Didn't even have time for a coffee. It looked beautiful though.

Yes they are lovely little towns , interesting and historic but wayyyy too busy and even leaving that to one side me and Mrs J agreed that we have seen much more impressive , interesting and engaging towns in Greece. Still our favourite!

No need to feel ashamed and don‘t worry about people judging you, they don’t know you and their opinion means nothing. Like @Vegas Toffee Girl I gave up work when I had my children, intending to return when they were at school. Severe migraine prevented this as no one was prepared to employ me in the knowledge that I would be off sick on a regular basis. I was often told “Oh how lucky you are, I wish I could afford to give up work!”, drove me mad I always wanted to say “Bet you wouldn’t put up with the headaches though”. My headaches did ease which is one advantage in getting older.
