Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Where was @ForeverBlue92 's invite ? lol

Good to hear you two old boys had a blast ?
Always happy to meet up for a pint whenever I'm back up there FB. Assume you're local to Liverpool. If you fancy it I'll PM you next time I'm up. Will probs be sometime next year now.

PS. To keep things civil it's probably best if Raffa is off the conversation menu?

Hi folks. Today's activities have included a ton of washing, catching up on last night's Bake Off (in spite of a previous post about not judging people, the woman with the pink hair is doing my head in!) and also Saturday's episode of Strictly. I think Ellie Simmonds is fab - she won't win but I just love her whole attitude. Breakfast was a chocolate muffin, lunch was a white chocolate and raspberry muffin. Healthy tea tonight, I'm thinking steak, jacket spud and salad. It's a hard life.

I agree the cost of Nationalisation will be huge, and of itself I am definitely not a fan. But for key industries and utilities essential to the long term well being of the country and its people, I believe its a worthwhile investment.
The whole politics thing is cyclical .We have had a National Coal board a National Health and so on .Yes the cost will be ridiculous but that was the point in my morning post ,who will pay for it ?
Yes ,the ones who are struggling to pay their bills now ,not the rich . My point was it is the easiest thing in the world to promise .
The thing about politicians is they are normalish people and they have the faults we all have .They have one characteristic the most don't have and that is the need for power over the populus and for that in my opinion they will do almost anything as history has taught us ( well at least some of you )

Yeah agree Blue. Don't like politics. Dislike politicians even more.

Even worse than baking cakes mate. Strictly!!!

Need to get Dom on there as a cross dresser. He'll fit right in. lol

I like Ellie Simmonds though. She came across really well when she was covering the European swimming championships recently.

Tonight's tea featured grilled tomatoes that we grew ourselves. I'm so proud! They were lovely. Some of them were slightly oddly shaped but who cares. I picked all the purple chillis yesterday so they will be used soon. The only thing we've still got growing are radishes. I've proper got into this vegetable growing lark. Broccoli was a dismal failure- I think we over watered it. I'm looking forward to next year now.

You pay with it with taxes and borrowing to invest.
You don't borrow to pay for tax cuts.
Basic economics.
It's Truss and her gang who have their head in the sand like ostriches not Starmer.

If you have a warm wall try runner beans and cucumbers ,you might wait a while for the first fruits but then they come thick and fast . I grew lots in a big greenhouse and I too had a bad time with broccoli .I tried carrots but they need a fine soil or they fork as they hit a stone . Kale was a great crop but it is big .Do you know it is good to plant in your borders and fill in any spaces with veggies.

Good morning from a very wet Italy.
It's our last full day today and surprise surprise yet more thunderstorms are forecast.
Our hotel is beautifully situated 3kms outside Sorrento with unbelievable views of the coastline that we've enjoyed in the 3 days when it hasn't rained.
So, last night we got the shuttle bus into town and enjoyed a wonderful meal and wine. Leaving the restaurant we were caught in the mother of all storms , the rainfall was truly biblical. We were drenched by the time we got to the bus and we had umbrellas and rain jackets. Other poor souls just wore shirts and dresses !
Ah well it's been interesting if not one of our better holidays.
Southampton on Saturday. Surely very winnable and hopefully Calvert-Lewin at least makes the bench. If not we really have to worry about his participation .
Have a lovely day everyone.
