Martinez Won't Leave.... Right?

Even if this late season charge falls short and we only get Europa League, we're still a member of an elite group of clubs playing in continental competition.

Fans tend to undervalue Europa, but I feel like players and managers think of it more highly.

He wouldn't leave after one year, and I doubt he's at the top of Arsenal's list if Wenger leaves. They'd go for an international manager like DeBoer. Keep in mind, as much publicity as Bobby is getting, he's a year from managing a team that go relegated and has no experience managing in the Champions League yet.

Is he better than anyone else? Yes, I think he is. But resume matters at a club like Arsenal.

He did it to Swansea didn't he? Can't see it though.

he had a big affiliation with both wigan and swansea and i think he said that was the only team he would have left swansea for at that time.

he rejected teams like the RS and villa whilst at wigan because i get the feeling he doesn't like moving around too much, especially not leaving a job unfinished so to speak.

you want the honest truth?

The minute he goes through a spell in the future ala moyes did with his 0 transfer kittys every year and he will leave us no doubt.

However if we can back him in the summers at least i genuinely think he will stay simply to build something from the ground up. He couldn't do that at wigan because they had to resort to give tickets away for fans jsut to fill the stadium so he always had a diamond ceiling to break to move them on. The difference is with us, he can really develop everything in complete freedom, from the youth all the way to transfer matters.

Finch farm is our golden goose and i think in roberto, we have the pied piper to get it to lay some very golden eggs.

But you're not going to explain yourself.
very few clubs will EVER attain the status of Barca.

Real, Man Utd, Bayern, the sh1te, AC Milan and Juve are leagues ahead of pretty much every other club in the world when it comes to size, fanbase etc.

Arsenal are admittedly one of the biggest of the rest, but they remain light years behind those 'elite' global superbrands.

...he's been unbelievable. Once Moyes left I wanted him in but I didn't envisage him having this impact. There's no doubt his stock has risen as will his profile at world level. We appear to have a diamond and its difficult keeping that to ourselves.

Moyes got a bigger job and Martinez has a better cv than Moyes did.

A lot of that is timing, though.

In 1989 Man U and barca simply weren't at that level, now they both are cos they took advantage of the money train.

While Ajax, who were up there, have dropped off.

Things do change.

Martinez say's the likes of McCarthy, Stones, Coleman deserve to be rewarded for their performances with new, better contracts.

If that's the case then he deserves a new one too. Rip up the current one and give him an improved 7 year Pards style contract.
